  1. I had my first fill last week and also had 3CC's. PA said not to expect much restriction till at least the third fill. Was pretty disaapointed to hear that. On the good side my acid reflux is finally getting better. Terri
  2. Great news, my band is in place. What a scare. Changed antiacids, taking tiny bites and chewing and chewing my food and didn't have any coffee today. Thanks everyone for the good wishes. Terri
  3. Went for my first fill today and they said they couldn't do it, have to much heartburn. They still gave me a Novacaine and inserted the syringe into the Port to make sure it was empty. It was, so tomorrow have to have the Upper GI test. Worst case scenario the band has slipped and will have to repeat the surgery. Oh please no. Terri
  4. Have my first fill Monday also. Hope my doctors office is generous with their fills. Terri
  5. Shar, Shar, my recovery has been similar but not quite as bad as yours. Still having a very hard time and surgery was the first. really sucks terri
  6. I am also having a terrible time with nausea and I was at the clinic today. They said it was the start of dehydration, have to drink more. How can I drink more when it makes me nauceous(sp) Terri
  7. The thought of real food makes me want to get sick. At this point I can't even imagine eating. If i'm this sore with just liquids what would it be like with real food. Terri
  8. I went to work today was a little tired but overall felt pretty darn good. Go in for my one week checkup tomorrow and should be able to start full liquids. But at this point any kind of food turns my stomach. Terri
  9. Good luck for those getting banded tomorrow and Tuesday Terri
  10. I was banded on the first and today showered, dressed and went Christmas shopping with dh. My stomach is making great rumbling sounds but way to much pressure to drink much of anything. I have also found that I can tolerate warm beverages much better then cold. Also gave in and took something for the horrible acid reflux pains and feel so much better. It's been 7 days of clear liquids now so not a lot of energy. Can't wait for Tuesday when I see the doc and hopefully get the ok for tomato soup and cream of wheat cereal. We are strong we can do this. Terri
  11. Kayrna, are you having a lot of pressure, like sever reflux? Are you able to drink alll the liquids you need? Terri
  12. Called clinic because I felt so crappy, they had me go in and removed a little bit of fluid from the band and I am back to drinking liquids. Hurrah Terri
  13. Clinic said come in right away, they removed some liquid that was in the band. feel great now. Terri
  14. My surgery was Tuesday, can only have Clear liquids to drink till doc appointment on Tuesday. I know I'm not getting enough liquid because it makes me sick to my tummy and I feel like I have acid reflux. Going to call the clinic right now and check it out. Terri
  15. I have had a hot water bottle on my tummy and haven't drank much today since I slept in, sippin non stop when I am a awake Terri
