  1. Great news, my band is in place. What a scare. Changed antiacids, taking tiny bites and chewing and chewing my food and didn't have any coffee today. Thanks everyone for the good wishes. Terri
  2. Went for my first fill today and they said they couldn't do it, have to much heartburn. They still gave me a Novacaine and inserted the syringe into the Port to make sure it was empty. It was, so tomorrow have to have the Upper GI test. Worst case scenario the band has slipped and will have to repeat the surgery. Oh please no. Terri
  3. Have my first fill Monday also. Hope my doctors office is generous with their fills. Terri
  4. I went to work today was a little tired but overall felt pretty darn good. Go in for my one week checkup tomorrow and should be able to start full liquids. But at this point any kind of food turns my stomach. Terri
  5. Good luck for those getting banded tomorrow and Tuesday Terri
  6. I was banded on the first and today showered, dressed and went Christmas shopping with dh. My stomach is making great rumbling sounds but way to much pressure to drink much of anything. I have also found that I can tolerate warm beverages much better then cold. Also gave in and took something for the horrible acid reflux pains and feel so much better. It's been 7 days of clear liquids now so not a lot of energy. Can't wait for Tuesday when I see the doc and hopefully get the ok for tomato soup and cream of wheat cereal. We are strong we can do this. Terri
  7. Kayrna, are you having a lot of pressure, like sever reflux? Are you able to drink alll the liquids you need? Terri
  8. Called clinic because I felt so crappy, they had me go in and removed a little bit of fluid from the band and I am back to drinking liquids. Hurrah Terri
  9. I have had a hot water bottle on my tummy and haven't drank much today since I slept in, sippin non stop when I am a awake Terri
  10. Larry, the meals they served me wwre all the same, jello, consume and apple juice Terri
  11. Kayrna the no gell or hairsapray is so you don't cause a fire, anthesias can sart your gell on fire Terri
  12. Last night and this morning have been rough, very nauseous and shaky and port site really throbs, Just tok some pain medication, should feel better soon. Terri
  13. I am home from surgery, stayed one night in the hospital, have 6 incision spots, 5 are about an inch long and the 6th where the port is is about 3 to 4 inches long. No stitches they used super glue. Really feeling pretty darn good in fact much better then anticipated. Pain medication is a combo of Tylenol and Oxic.. something or another. Will remain on clear liquid till next Tuesday when I go in for check up. Terri
  14. I had my ultra sound today and it was fine, what a scare. So my lap band surgery is still on for tomorrow. Can't wait to hear how electrawoman did. Terri
  15. Where did you buy your nectar if you don't mind me asking. The couple sites with nectar I found were sold out. Thanks Terri
