The clear protein drink is like a fruit punch almost but has 15grams of protein in it i have to drink them til saturday.

i was banded monday and my Dr. said clear protein drinks I'm taking isopure not too bad

I am having pain in my left shoulder feels like pulled muscles, is this gas pain?:thumbup:

I am actually starving right now i Have been doing the broth,jello,popscicles and still starving...HELP

Wow you are going for a walk already, Im still just walking back and forth to the kitchen and upstairs to the bathroom. I have alot of gas in my belly and alot of belching. You are doing wonderfully, keep up the great work!!!

Feeling like I have done a million sit ups and some gas not too bad alot of belching. I am surprised its not alot worse. Any other May 3d bandsters on here would love to know everything went well for all of you.:thumbup:

You will all be in my prayers,may we all have a safe surgery!!!!! And we definitely have to keep each other updated it would be great to have some before pictures so we can keep track of each others progress. I'm so excited to go skinny shopping in the future. I was at the mall today looking at all the skinny clothes. CANNOT WAIT!!!!!

I am definitely nervous about the dying aspect of it all. Trying to spend as much time as possible with my family this weekend!!!(just in case) That so motivates me when I hear of other people that have lost 100lbs so far that is awesome!!!!! When you hear people question you and the questions they ask it does make you second guess yourself. Good luck to all upcoming bansters!!!!!:thumbup:

So is anyone else out there getting super nervous as the day is approaching faster, anyone having any second thoughts at all. Anyone mourning the foods they will not be able to eat anymore!!!!! Anyone having a pity part?????:thumbup:

I also have a pre-op appt. too tomorrow they call it hospital boot camp, I tour the surgery wing and have some blood work done!!!!! It is so real now, we are getting so close to Monday. I hope to hear from everyone afterward so we can share some experience's and we can support one another!!!!

Its funny you ask about the pre-op diet, when I went to the nutrionist she called the surgeon and they told her no diet except the day before liquids, well I called the surgeon today and she said it was a two week meal plan and I said well I haven't started that yet will that effect my surgery and she said no just start it now. So I got off easy I guess!!!!!!HAHAHA. :scared2::tongue:

Yes it definitely feels like forever since first appointment. I think we will all do wonderfully. Does anyone else have to stay overnight after surgery? I am kind of glad makes me feel safe doing it that way. Can't wait to start a new life, on the road to a healthier me!!!!:scared2:

Thanks so much for your support. I think its just nerves talking on my end and my husbands. Its always scary having surgery done, I have had a c-section and gall bladder removed so this should be a piece of cake!!!!! Good luck with your surgery and please let me know how you make out!!!!

I definitely feel your pain my surgery is scheduled for May 3rd and I am getting really nervous now. Having a ton of second thoughts. My biggest concern is not waking up after surgery and also, once Im all banded is having stuck episodes that scares the crap out of me.:eek:

Anyone else really nervous? May 3rd is right around the corner and I am having all these bad thoughts going through my head. My husband is asking me these questions that is making me second guess myself. He has asked do you really want this foreign object in your body for the rest of your life and do you really not want to be able to eat pasta, bread and rice, etc for the rest of your life... UGGGGGHHHHHH:frown:

Hello, I haven't had the surgery yet but have been approved and my date is April 12th. I started the process in Nov 09 and did not have any kind of supervised diet, my insurance did not require that. So all together it has taken me 5months.. Boy that sounds like a long time but it really did go by fast!!!! Good luck!!!:sad:

Hi, I have a question my surgery is scheduled for April 12th and I have seen the nutrionist three times and she gave me a food plan for when I start eating solids but my surgeon hasn't told me anything about drinking protein shakes or anything. I don't see him again until the day of surgery, I know there is just a one day pre-op clear liquids and that is it. How do I know how much protein I will need each day right after the surgery? I need to start stocking up on the drinks I don't have much time left. And can anyone recommend anything that tastes decent?:sad:

Mine has actually gone pretty smooth except for all the tests and all. I didn't have a supervised diet or anything so it was pretty easy. So can't wait to go clothes shopping and be able to shop in the smaller peoples section!!!!!!!!! YIPPY.. Good luck to everyone else that has their surgeries coming up next month!!!! Just got my approval through Capital Blue Cross Blue Shield PA no problems at all only been about a week!!!!!! Surgery date is April 12th!!!!!!! So excited and nervous at the same time...:tongue_smilie:

Do I ask the surgeon about the anesthesiologist? I am so scared to be put to sleep

I haven't been banded yet have just received all the clearance needed from the various doctors I have seen . I go back to the surgeon this upcoming Friday and they will submit everything to the insurance for approval. Anyway, I did some research on the surgeon on the NJ licensure website and it shows he has had two malpractice lawsuits against him, doesn't say what for though. He has been doing lapbands for 9yrs and that is all he does. My question is does that seem like alot of litigation for that amount of time it did say $400k and $250k were paid out on the two. I'm a little concerned now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
