I haven't seen this either. Def get it checked out! Best wishes to you.
  2. Wow, seriously you should try to find another doctor. I have never heard of so many fills. That is ridiculous. Something isn't right. A leak or something? I wish you the best.
  3. That is so scary! Thank God you had all those signs to tell you to look for a surgeon elsewhere. You don't want your life in an incompetent surgeon's hands. Very important to research  So glad you found someone else!
  4. I cannot understand why people behave this way. Yes, we are treated differently. We are going to do something about it and lose weight. And when we see someone overweight will not treat them bad. I know how you feel. Let's lose this weight!!!
  5. Oh yes, I had nightmares too. I didn't share them with anyone because I didn't want to worry my family. My nightmare was during surgery, something going wrong and having an out of body experience. I too thought about how bad the pain would be after surgery. You know...I think its better to expect the worst because it really isn't too bad. Just take it easy after surgery. As far as the food goes, I feel ya about not eating certain foods anymore. But let me tell you that anything with bread consistency will give you a "stuck" feeling and it's uncomfortable. So, when I look at a fluffy biscuit now I associate it with pain! Take your time with the different stages, this is your time to get used to your band. It's a great time. Congratulations on getting your band!! So exciting! Wishing you a fast recovery!

When I was banded, I remember that I could only sleep laying on my back. I also tried not to take the pain med until it was bedtime and had a pretty good night's sleep. Sometimes getting up the next morning was sore, and stiff. You seem to be doing everything you need to do. Believe me you will soon start returning back to your old self with no soreness. Try sleeping on your back, if your not already. Wish you the best!
  7. Way to go! You have lost a bit more than I have. I was banded on August 18th 2009. To date I have lost 20 pounds. You are doing a great job. Isn't it amazing how the weight comes off? Mine has slowed down. Waiting for my second band fill in November! Best of luck to ya! Shannon

Thank you everyone for your awesome comments. I guess I'm a little stressed because the Holidays are coming up. Family doesn't help when your in "banded Hell". They keep asking me "how much have you lost?". I will definitely keep my head up. I know it will get better. Thank you BethL: I'm glad someone else is experiencing what I am! We can do it! Thank you ldswims: I will be trying out your routine too! I love to work out! I have a gazillion workout tapes. I need to change them up a bit. I have hand weights varying weights 3lb, 5lb and 10lbs. I'm ready to tone up this fat! :scared2: Thank you xavier: I know I will be giving the same advice to another newbie when I get to me goal weight. It's just so hard to vision the end when it is taking so long to take off. Thank you for your advice! I really appreciate it! Thank you cindyracine: LOL "bandster Hell" is not fun!!! I'm hoping that after my second fill it will be a little easier. I completed my workout for today and it feels so good. I need to focus on how good I "feel" not "look" or "weight". Thanks a bunch! I feel better. I wanted to document the bad as well as the good in my blogs. Today was an emotional "low" for me. Thanks! Shannon

Congratulations! I was surprisingly extremely hungry my first week after surgery. I felt like I was constantly eating. But I still lost weight! Take it easy girl! Wishing you a fast recovery!

Oh yeah! I hate it when this happens. And it's my own fault. Sometimes I'm so hungry, I wanna wolf down my food like I did before the band. Very uncomfortable. I'm 2 months since surgery and I still have to force myself to eat small bites.

Yeah, banded!!! And the journey begins! I wish you a fast recovery. Take it easy and don't over-do-it your first week. I had to lay on my back to sleep, and I'm a side sleeper! I'm so excited for you!
  12. Holy smokes!! Congratulations!! I know you are feeling so good about yourself! Good luck

I totally agree with your blog!!! I can't wait to drop my weight. I have already made the decision to have plastic surgery to make me look even better. You are absolutely right about making the decision to spend money on yourself instead of a car. This will last forever!! Your life will be so much more complete than a car will ever make you feel! Who cares what anyone else says. They are probably jealous now! They also probably talked about you behind your back when you were overweight. It's time for you! You look fantastic! Can't wait till I get to where you are now! Shannon

I was banded on August 18, 2009. Starting weight was 277. I have lost 20 pounds so far. I had my first band fill October 12, 2009. I'm so frustrated at this point. It's been two months since surgery and I have only lost 20 pounds. My food intake has been drastically reduced. For exercise, I do 25 minutes of step aerobics with 3 lbs weights. I guess I need to eat celery for every meal??? I am trying the slim fast shake for breakfast. Maybe lunch too. For dinner I cook using a Light Crock Pot cookbook. I still need to feed my family! I see other people losing 30 - 40 lbs by now! I'm not going to give up, I just need more pounds to come off. Working out at this weight is killing me! :crying: I'm going to make a few adjustments in my eating habits. I'm hoping the slim fast shakes will fill me up. IDK. I'm trying! Thanksgiving is coming up and I will be seeing family. They will be wanting to see a huge weight loss!! I feel like crying right now...gotta go workout now. No time for crying
