What is going on?

Ok, so I am almost 3 weeks post op, and I have been eating for 1 week.

Almost every meal, as I start to eat about 4 bites into it, I get this horrible pain in my throught, my mouth starts watering, and I have to burp and sit there until the pain goes away. Then I am fine to continue eating. Any ideas?:crying:

That happens to me when I eat too fast or take too big of bites. I dont realize Im eating too fast until that happens then I just have to wait it out....

I will be having my band on the 10th, but with my dr. they have you continue with liq. diet for two to four week after and then a puree diet for two weeks, then a soft food diet for two weeks, than reg. diet. Seems kinda quick to be eating "reg." food.

Today is my first day on the liq. diet.... ughhh

Thanks Chrissy!

I thought maybe that maybe I was taking to big of bites.

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it!

Oh yeah! I hate it when this happens. And it's my own fault. Sometimes I'm so hungry, I wanna wolf down my food like I did before the band. Very uncomfortable. I'm 2 months since surgery and I still have to force myself to eat small bites. :)
