  1. I am happy I have found this forum. I too am a slow loser. I was banded Dec. 2009 and have only lost 30 pounds thus far. I am getting back on track. I gained 15 of the 30 pounds I lost but I am happy to say that in a month and a half I am back at my oringinal 30 pound loss. I believe we can do it. We just have to stay motivated and keep moving forward.
  2. Thanks you guys for all the support. I went in today and was informed that my pouch is back to normal. I was very happy to hear that. I am only 13 pounds down. I am a slow loser but it has been picking up lately. You really don't know how much it means to me to have support. I don't really have anyone to talk to about what I am going through.
  3. My Dr. is Kenneth Hollis with True Results. I do not attend support groups because I work nights and live in Humble. I would love to work on being around people that are going through what I am going through and would love to talk to you as well.
  4. Thank you so much. I really needed to hear that.
  5. I am a 27 year old single female in Houston, Texas. I am 3 months out with 11 pounds lost. I am having a difficult time realizing when I am full. I went to the doctor to get a fill and was informed I stretched my pouch. I have been put on 3 days liquid and 4 days soft foods. I am so disappointed in myself. I don't think I have a clue as to what I am supposed to do to make this work. I need help.
  6. I had my surgery yesterday. Everything went well except the terrible gas pains I had when I woke up.
  7. Are your talking about Dr. Kenneth Hollis? If so, he is also doing my surgery on the Dec. 7th. I am so happy to hear that everything went pretty well. I had a tough time with True Results and some of the people from Dr. Hollis's office but I stayed on top of them to make sure all my paperwork got done. I was upset when I found out that I had to pay his assistant $400 because she was out of my network.
  8. Hi all! Please add me to the group. I am scheduled for Dec. 7. I found out yesterday. What is a good protein drink I can use for pre-op?
  9. I have Aetna Choice POS II. I was approved in just 6 business days. I am so excited. Now the hard part is picking the best surgery day for this time of year. Any suggestions?
  10. Congratulations Abby!!! I am so happy for you. I have PCOS as well. I am praying that after lap band and weight loss I will be telling the same good news.
  11. I have Aetna PPO and I am currently doing the 3 month program. I have sleep Apnea which is one of the co-mobids they ask for. I will be going in for my 3rd visit on Monday. The problem is I am gaining weight and not losing. For now I am trying to just maintain my weight or at least get back to the weight I was when I was originally weighed. My last visit before my paperwork is submitted is at the end of October? Has anyone gained weight on the 3 month program and still got approved? Do you think I will get approved?
  12. I have Aetna POS II as well. If I get approved for the surgery, I am only expecting to pay only $100 for the outpatient procedure. You may want to call your insurance company to see for yourself.
  13. I tested positive for sleep apnea ealier this year. I pray that after enough weight loss I can get off my machine.
