  1. I stopped into Avenue today, saw a cute dress. Anyway I bought it and asked the girls at checkout if I could change in the dressing room. Not a problem. So I change come out and they gasped at how great it looked on me. Then one of the girls said " well she's teeny tiny it looks great on her, but I would look horrible!" I am by no means teeny tiny, but thats the first time those words have been directed at me! Oh the little things that make your day!
  2. Whoop whoop! Thats awesome!!!!!
  3. Is it your doc who requires it or your insurance?
  4. Well thats what happens when you sign up on a bored for lap band. Your very first post sounds like an ad, looks like an ad. You know the old say "if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck" you know the rest.
  5. I think thats the best app I have on my phone!
  6. Try out myfitnesspal, I hate keeping a food journal, but the myfitness pal makes it a lot easier for me to keep track. I think a good range is between 1000 and 1200 calories a day. But its a learning process. I get about 1300 a day and exercise daily and i'm on average 2 to 3 pounds a week.
  7. Start weight 275, heght 5'7 3 months, 20 pounds lost 6 months, 25 pounds lost 12 months, 50 pounds lost 17 months , 85 pounds lost The first 8 months I had my band I did not get off my butt and exercise. I also kept making the wrong food choices. So my weightloss was very slow! Then one day I started exercising and watching my calories and the weight is falling off. Lost 10 pounds this last month. Down to 190 now. I don't think there is anything I don't like about the band........maybe sometimes it has a mind of it's own. One day I can eat every thing on my plate, then the next day going out to dinner with friends it only lets me get a couple of bites down. But thats probably not a bad thing! Lol Everyone loses differently though it all depends on you and how hard you make yourself work to lose weight. I am a slow loser while some people on here can reach goal within a year. I think skin is an issue no matter what rate you lose weight. If your young you have a better chance of your skin returning to normal, also it depends on how long you have been overweight. It's a wait and see type of thing.
  8. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. No tricare won't cover that. You may want to try another office if possible. That sounds like a total rip off to me. I had to pay 100 out of pocket for some protien shake stuff the doc wanted me to take. Then 50 for the phsyc eval.
  10. Wow they said to eat regular foods? That would hurt me after a fill. Everytime I have had a fill they always say liquids or soft foods for 2 days.
  11. I brole through a plateau about 3 weeks ago. I know its so frustrating when you are doing everything right but the scale doesn't move! It took me upping my calories and really switching up my workouts before the scale started moving again. I hope you break it soon.
  12. I think junk in moderation! I got toooooo much! Lol
  13. Just wondering if you have found out if there was a billing error or something else?
  14. Yep tummy and butt! Thats what I have left to lose! At least its only 1 tummy now. I had top tummy and bottom tummy. I used to call them thing 1 and thing 2! Love me some Dr. Seuss!
  15. To lose 83 pounds and still have a HUGE ass? Lmao Seriously though is the junk in the trunk the last to go or what! Lol I know my rear is smaller than it used to be......but damn!
  16. I'm glad my husband is in the navy! We will move in less than 2 years and by that time I should be down to my goal. We will be in a new place, so no one will know I was ever morbidly obese! Those weightloss questions should fizzle out for me. My friends and family back home in Tx rarely ask how much I have lost. They consider that rude! Thank goodness! Lol
  17. Done! I voted for you and ashley. That is pretty cool and I wish you lots of luck!
  18. So my week of weightloss after the week I maintained I lost 3 and a half pounds. I think I am getting the hang of this! Lol
  19. In the begining I would drive myself crazy weighing myself everyday. So I stopped and only weighed at my Doc appts. 8 months in I really started to get more active and I started weighing myself once everyday in the morning. I don't drive myself crazy with it anymore. I think maybe with some time you won't drive yourself bonkers anymore.
  20. Oh how I wish I had been able to get the band in my 20's.........sigh lol
  21. No pre op diet. Mine was a pretty simple process also.
  22. That happened to me also. Eadreel is right, it's a problem with the codes. it was an easy fix I just called billing at my hospital and explained that I was Tricare active duty and I should have been covered 100%. They said they would check the codes and get back to me. I think it was a day later I called tjem and they had resubmitted it. It went through no problem.
