Toning & Resistance Training Is Key! Proof Is In This Photo.
Check out my blog post today showing how even though I weighed the same a year ago, I have changed my shape (smaller!) due to all the toning and resistance training I've done. The comparison pic is here: http://lapbandgalsjourney.blogspot.com/2012/03/i-enjoy-sharing-sweaty-shoes-with.html

What Made You Choose Lapband Over Roux-En-Y Wls?
I originally chose RNY and went as a pre-op to my surgeon's support groups for the RNY'ers. By listening to the RNY patients and their lifestyles and what it was like for them day-to-day to live with RNY, this made me switch to the band. I've never regretted the decision. Have you been to any band or RNY support groups? I highly recommend it.

Gluttony Party Scheduled
Yum, sounds good to me. ditto what shauna said: You will be able to eat at Olive Garden again. The band never stops me from making bad food choices. Enjoy your party

Lap Band Vs Roux En Y
If possible, attend the support groups associated with each surgery to learn more. Listen to the patients and hear what it's like for their day to day lives. This is what I did and this made me choose the band, not RNY.

First Airplane Trip Post Band...
I fly all the time internationally and domestic and I notice NOTHING different when I fly with my band. However, the mental stress that comes from travel, may cause one's restriction to increase. Have a great flight!

Could I Be Your Mentor?
Ccorea: are you physically hungry? Or is it "head hunger"? What band do you have?
-
Could I Be Your Mentor?
Ccorrea: are you writing down what you eat (limit to 1200 calories or less and at least 60 grams of proteins) each day? Are you exercising? What is your accountability? Are you recording weekly weigh-ins. I did all of the above to lose 115 lbs in 14 months. Let me know if you need any exercise ideas or food tips. Please check in and let us know how you're doing

Did U Tell Or Not? If Not..what Was Your Story?
I told and tell everyone who will listen to me. It is my accountability. Wanna feel my port? LOL But seriously, it is a very personal decision and you should tell or not tell based on YOU.
