  1. I had Atikins RTD vanilla for Breakfast 1 piece of string cheese SlimFast meal bar - lunch Atkins RTD strawberry for dinner will have some more cheese and a little beef Jerky for a snack. (I usually don't drink two meals currently as I don't want to hate liquids next week - I just ran out of time today and needed something quick after work). It's working for me. Tomorrow I will probably have eggs and who knows what else :scared0:
  2. Of course you can borrow my laptop to send emails to those you need to. I'm bringing Shrek, Pretty Woman and whatever comes in from Netflix before I leave.
  3. Didn't we just talk about this? Glad I saw it and have written it down.
  4. Great job Chancie! I have two dogs, one I have been successful and having her lose 3lbs (she "could lose a little" per the vet) when we went back she had. I measure her food and play non-stop (so it seems) with her. Now my Pom/Chihauhua mix...having a tough time getting him to lose a pound. I measure his food and he only gets one treat a day. So I ended up cutting his food back a little more still nothing so it looks like doggie diet food for him. He weighs 13lbs and the vet wants him down to 11, once it cools off we will be taking walks more often. Congrats to you and your baby!
  5. Hi Susan, I am taking my laptop, thank you for offering to share your DVD player. It also plays DVDs, so I will have some movies with me. Let me know what you are taking and I will send you my list in a PM and then maybe we can borrow so we don't have to watch the same movies over and over again! Looking forward to meeting you!
  6. Hey Judy! I am SO ready to go...one week from tomorrow. Yes I have been good on my pre-op diet. I started a week early and have already lost 7lbs! How are you doing? I still haven't packed or finished shopping, I will do that next weekend to keep myself busy. I think I am so excited that I don't have time to be nervous. BTW, we will warn Dr. Aceves and team to rest up for the flock he has next week:thumbup:
  7. Hi Ivy, If you're flying into San Diego on the 28th it looks like you and I will be together from saying goodbye to our unsleeved life to saying hello to our new life as fellow Sleeve Sistas! My dates are the same as yours - I am so excited and to think just a little bit longer!
  8. I would LOVE to be the pickle delivery person, however I'm not gonna be able to get those pickles until Oct....but I would be happy to bring them back for you! BTW....Vegas - I tried to call but your phone was busy....I will try you again this weekend.
  9. We are all going to be there to support one another - it feels like we are prepping for a celebration no surgery.....I love the excitement and support here. I think I am the only one traveling alone so look for me to adopt some of your support you all bring along LOL:laugh0: There is one more, Sue from SC....she's not on the boards - however her friend Lavanda (Sleeved also by Dr. Aceves this past spring and down a 62lbs) sent me a message and "introduced" us. Sue has her sleeve date set the same as Ky.hen! Dr. Aceves and crew are all going to think we are family and planned this the way it seems that we "know" each other already. I can't wait it's getting SO CLOSE!!!!!!
  10. I will be coming from Las Vegas. Also, Lizzy M will be arriving on the 29th for sleeve on the 30th then KY.hen and Sue (not currently on this forum) will be joining us on the 30th for the sleeve on the 1st. Looks like we are taking over the ward! We are stronger in numbers....sounds like you will have a nice drive, how far is it?
  11. Hi DonnainCalifornia Welcome to the forum and CONGRATULATIONS on your sleeve date!!! I'm am traveling on the 28th for my pre-op my sleeve date is the 29th. Please keep in touch with me. Are you driving?
  12. Susan, Thank you so much for the helpful items. I have updated my list accordingly. I am so excited I figured out the signature thing....I will be replying and posting more often so watch out cuz here comes my input!
  13. I have my sleeved date set with Dr. Aceves on Sept. 29, so I am heading out the morning of Sept. 28. I will be traveling alone and have so much going on in my head (leaving my young son at home with my Aunt, not being at work, dealing with those that I have told and then listening to others that don't agree with this that they they have told...oh and I can't forget my two dogs and how much I will miss them.) I am on here several times a day reading and rereading through the posts. I have received a lot of support and information from everyone sharing so much. I thought it was time I finally reached out and asked for some help myself. I want to make sure I am prepared in Mexico. Can you please give me suggestions of things to take (I've seen hair dryer and wash clothes) but anything else I might need. Also, where is the pharmacy in Mexicali to get the nexium? Should I get it on the 28th after my pre-op appts or wait until after surgery? I don't want to get lost as I have no sense of direction. I will be home alone with my son when I return the hardest thing for me will be when I pick him up from preschool on Monday and him running to me and NOT being able to pick him up for a big hug...but we will get through that. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Also, please let me know if anyone else will be down there at the same time. I have communicated with a couple of people but the more the merrier! Thank you, Trudy I don't have a fancy signature yet cuz I can't figure it out:blushing:
  14. Hi JageK (Jennifer) - I'm getting sleeved Sept. 29th with Dr. Aceves. I have been (pretty) quietly watching this board for all of the different emotions that I see people go through, both pre and post op. Before I saw that you were three weeks out, I thought to myself (from reading the other posts) that if this is your first stall you must be about three weeks out. It seems to be very common, so don't feel like you are a failure - seems to me that you are on the successful track now as many of those very successful sleevesters out here seem to hit that same stall and I am expecting it also mid October:glare:....but I know it will pass and some last longer than others. Good Luck! Trudy :lol0:
  15. Wow! Chancie you look incredible! I agree with the others, your are an inspiration for all of us especially those of us waiting for our VSG (Ky, Lizzy M and I will all be in Mexicali together one right after the other!) Thank you so much for sharing your pictures. I can't wait to get mine on here too! Trudy:w00t:
  16. Thanks for letting us know how easy it will be to find one another while in Mexicali. Lizzy and Ky.hen get ready for some company :glare:. I am going by myself, are either of you traveling with someone? The more the merrier! I can't wait...have you guys started counting down yet?
  17. Hi Ky.hen! I look forward to it! I do my pre-op testing on Lizzy's VSG day then you come in on mine....we're gonna have to meet up if possible - we're all going to be in "different stages" of recovery! I can't wait!!! Trudy
  18. Hi Lizzy! I'm traveling there on the 28th for my VSG on the 29th! I'm really looking forward to it. Good luck to you, hopefully we will be able to meet up and support one another in person the few days post op :confused1: Trudy
