  1. Hi everyone. Had my 2nd post-op visit yesterday and it went well. He was impressed with my progress so far and so am I. Will go for my second fill next week. Can't wait for that. I did end up losing 2 lbs last week, which is good. As long as I can lose 2 every week I will be happy. Well how is everyone else?
  2. I agree. Just keep it clean. When is your next appt with your surgeon? If the drainage turns color or starts to smell bad or the incision gets red and warm to the touch, just call your surgeon and let them know what is going on.
  3. I do work nights but I don't know if that has anything to do with it, because I am tighter in the mornings as well, just like before I started back to work. I have noted the tightness when I eat my dinner at around 1 in the morning, so pratically it is in the early morning. Who knows?
  4. They put 2.7 cc's in but said I had some stenosis around the stoma which is causing a little more of a restriction around the stoma. I know how you feel about the restriction. I feel that I could still eat more although I am still less hungry and am able to stop when I am satisfied instead of stuffing myself. We are doing fine and hopefully with the next fill we will feel like we are out of the dangerzone of overeating. About exercise, I have days that I have to make myself exercise but I do it for at least 30 minutes everyday. I try to do different things everyday to keep my body guessing what I am going to do next. Take care and remember that we can do this.
  5. I have lost a total of 20 lbs since surgery with a total of 42 lbs. Yeah, I'm happy I haven't been in a 18 since I started nursing school over 2 years ago. Hang in there! I have my days as well where I have no restriction, but I work nights and I find that I am more restricted at night and in the morning. My next fill is on the 26th. When is yours?
  6. Hi y'all. Just wanted to check in with everyone. I started back to work and have been very busy, but doing well. Only lost a lb last week, but that's ok. At least it's something. I also fit into a 18. I went and put some clothes on layaway. Size 16s and hoping they will fit by the time get them out. Well will check in soon. Take care.
  7. Just a quick post today because I have a busy day. I tried on a pair of 18 jeans yesterday and they fit, so happy. Took some pictures and will post them as soon as I can. I'm also down to 231, which makes 42 lbs lost total. I agree with Colorado hunger is down although I don't have restriction except for in the mornings, well off to the gym. Take care.
  8. WElcome and congratulations on your weightloss so far!
  9. That is great! I know how you feel on the restriction but we will get there. Keep up the great work!
  10. Woke up this morning and down 2 lbs since yesterday, so that is a total of 3 lbs this week, so that is good. Hope everyone has a great Sunday.
  11. Just wanted to post real quick. I am feeling a little more restriction than before the fill especially in the morning. Now I know why people have their protein shakes in the morning. I only lost a pound this week but I only exercised 3 days this week as well, just haven't felt like it. Next week is a new week though and I will start it off with a bang. Well hope all is well. Take care.
  12. I only have 2.7 cc's and I really don't feel a difference but we will see when I start back on soft foods.
  13. I don't see why not, because fruit is a good carb and I use to do that when I was on a low carb diet. Go for it.
  14. Congratulations, I'm glad everything went well.
  15. That is what I thought as well. After surgery I did 1 week of liquids and then he had me do mushies for 2 weeks and then I was on regular food, but he seems a little more conservative about post-fills. The good thing is so far so good. I'm ok with the liquids, they keep me satisfied. I had the best protein shake this morning. It was 1 scoop of muscle milk chocalate, 1 scoop vanilla EAS protein, ice, 2 cups milk, and 1 tbs of peanut butter for a total of 620 calories and 62 g protein and I had half of it this morning and I will have the rest for lunch. It was delicious. Then tonight I will have a soup cup. I hope your fill goes well. Let us know how much you get. Take care.
  16. Yeah, they did it with x-ray. They saw the stenosis on x-ray they said that it was probably scar tissue and that it is normal.
  17. They did the fill under fluoro so they saw the stenosis on the x-ray. Not a big deal. No, I love my doc. He's great.
  18. Well I had my first fill today. I have 2.7 cc's in my band now. They also said that I had a little stenosis at the stoma which causes a little of a natural band. He said it's like I have two bands and that I probably will not need as many fills as some, so that's cool. Just when I had started on real foods now I'm stuck on liquids again for a week, then soft foods for 7 days and then I can have real food again, Oh well it will fly by. The needle was not bad at all. I thought it would be worse, but I almost didn't even feel it. I am also drinking fine, so that is good. Well hope everyone is fine. Will check in later.:tongue2:
  19. I know you have to be disappointed but I know you want to be healthy for surgery and if it doesn't happen today, it will happen soon, just take care of yourself. I'm a nurse and you would have scared me as well. take care.
  20. I'm sorry to hear that, take care of yourself.:tongue2:
  21. I'm proud of you as well. Keep up the great work.
  22. I'm feeling great. Down a total of 37 lbs since I started my pre-op. 15 lbs since surgery 9/1/09. So life is great. I go for my first fill tomorrow. I'm glad you are feeling better. Take care.:smile2:
  23. Hope you feel better?:blushing:
  24. Yeah! I agree about the pizza. I'm going to buy something that is sugar free to eat while they eat cake. LOL.
