  1. OMG, my first fill will not be until nov.7th, its my own fault, because I will be out of town for 3 wks starting next friday. It's going to be a very challenging 3 wks, NO fill, having to eat my meals out instead of controlled at home and fighting my old lifestyle way of thinking (that you have to eat to have a good time on vacation). I have made a promise to myself to find some place to walk each morning and to stay on my low carbs during that time. It's going to be a struggle, put I refuse to give up any of my hard earned 20 lbs

  4. Jen, scroll back a few pages and cut and paste your name to our list if you wish, welcome to our group and congrats on joining the Sexy Septembers  I am ready for my fill as well, I didn't realize riding was such a workout, I have never done it, but my granddaughters goto riding camp each summer and they love it. OMG, I would freak, I am not good with blood :w00t: I have to remind myself of the water too, didn't have that problem when I drank it with my meals. I joined a gym close enough to work that I can pop in on my lunch hour for a 30 min workout, I plan on alternating the days with arms/legs. should work out perfectly. Congrats on your 18 pounds ! make sure you use a pin so you won't have to redo your ticker everytime you change it
  5. Jodi, Congrats on entering Onederland! I know that must have been very exciting for you as well. It definately was for me!
  6. I like the flaxseed idea, I have tried it as a dip for raw veggies, i never thought to try it on grilled ones...thanks!
  7. I think variety is important. There is a thread here that I have gotten some wonderful ideas from. Here is the link~>http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f9/share-ideas-what-did-you-eat-today-36828/ Jes, 33 pounds is awesome! What are you doing for cardio/exercise? Gen, You are almost to the big 25 ! 11. What a great way of looking at it. I think I shall do that same thing, I will have to think of a great place to walk to....on the treadmil.....
  12. I am fortunate to live in an area so near the Water and fresh seafood , so i do eat alot of seafood!
  13. My story is almost the same as yours, I was at my highest weight ever @ 219 and have now lost 18 lbs after being banded only 3 wks. I have rode the diet rollercoaster my whole life and I love my band. I am 50 years old and I did this so that I can be around for my granddaughters.
  14. Congrats on making it to the banded side! Drinking is good, but just do it in sips, no gulping, no straws. I would not worry about drinking too much. That pain in your shoulders, neck and chest are ALL gas! I know everyone is tell you this but you have got to walk, walk, walk! your body has to absorb all that gas from your surgery. I found gasX helped me alot, take them as often as you need.
  15. Good Morning to all the Sexy Septembers! Mr. scale is still moving down but the losses have slowed quite a bit now that I am 3wks post op. As long as Mr.Scale is going lower I am quite happy. I have been steadily increasing my walking but I am already at 90 mins a day so I am concentrating on increasing the intensity now. My doctor says no strength training till six weeks and I agree, last night I woke up with a little sore type pain at my port area from sleeping on my left side. I was a left side sleeper before my banding, so I hope this will not become a port area problem. How is everyone else doing today? Exercising? I got some some great greek yogurt ideas on a thread I started, you can read some of them here ~http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f9/greek-yogurt-ideas-please-103219/ Have a great Tuesday everyone!
  16. I haven't tried any breakfast cereals since being banded. Maybe sprinkling into my greek yogurt would be a way to add a little back, thanks!

  18. I did the soups, Jello, cottage cheese, oh and I love the sugar free popsicles
  19. I stayed on full liquids longer than my doctor said I had to, I didn't want to slow down my weightloss, even now, I have a Protein shake for at least one of my meals. You are doing great!
  20. B 1/2 ham & cheese omelet (waffle house) S L 1/4 baked boneless porkchop S 100 cal bluebell icecream sandwich D indiv container of cottage cheese S
  21. LOL and I'll dream about being able to eat the whole pizza instead of just the toppings  Mack, you are already on your way with your walking, that's fantastic! Welcome to our group! Our lil group has been a wonderful source of information and encouragement, welcome!
  22. looks like we are all moving along on our journey very nicely.
  23. I did not have the belly bruising. Soreness from the incisions yes and OMG the gas! lots of walking and gasX. Took me over a week to be able to drink an entire protein shake in one day. Congrats to all of us on making the decision for a healthier lifestyle!
  24. Funny to hear you bringing up this topic, I just blogged about this exact thing. Going to see Mr.Scale every day is NOT a good thing to do, our bodies change constantly, but...... i have done it every day since surgery, sometimes more than once....its awful..LOL
