  1. I hope you will count me in. I was banded on September 06 and have lost 40 lbs so far. I lost 31 pounds before the surgery. I thought the weight loss would be quicker. Sometimes I don't lose anything for 3 weeks. :help:
  2. Can anyone tell me why the doctor never put me on a liquid diet for my banding? I've noticed from the posts alot of you had a liquid diet before the surgery. I am 325 lbs and my lap band is September 19th.
  3. Congratulations Misty. My name is Sue and I am being banded on September 19th. Hope everything goes good for you. I am excited and waiting for the 19th.
  4. I will be banded in two weeks. Weigh 327 lbs. Can't wait.
  5. I am having my lap band in 2 weeks and the doctor never put me on a liquid diet nor is he going to. I weigh 327 lbs now....does everyone go on a liquid diet before surgery?
  6. Hi: I am 49 years old and weigh 325 pounds. I have completed all my tests and am waiting for my surgery date. I have been overweight since my childhood and have tried every diet their ever was. I looked into the gastric bypass surgery over a year ago because my insurance would not cover the lap band procedure. The great surprise was in April they insurance company informed me that after July 1st, 2006 they would start covering the lapband. I knew this was meant for me. I am eagerly awaiting my lapband. However, I still have this feeling inside what if I fail with the lapband. Can anyone tell me how they stay away from the junk food, sweets, with the lap band? I'd sure like some comfort on this subject. Thanks.
