  1. Stayed the same here.
  2. MOM, I'm down 2 lbs this week. Sorry for the late posting but my internet has been down since Sunday. I am at Panera with my laptop now. I definitely feel the restriction from my last fill, but am bummed that it wasn't enought to push me into Onederland last week. Oh well, I will get there eventually.
  3. So I take it it's finally working??
  4. I have used phentermine, bontril, and xenical. I will tell you when I was on xenical I wore pads every day out of fear of leakage. It was pretty gross in general, but took a couple days to kick in. Good luck!
  5. At this point I will have to lose 1 pound per day to make the Christmas Challenge. Not very likely, but then again this is the season for miracles, right? Knock on wood, I haven't had any PB incidences. I have been stuck 3 times from rushing and not chewing enough or taking too big of a bite. Fortunately my golf balls only lasted about 5 minutes each. I don't think I could have survived anything longer.
  6. I had my second fill yesterday. I can't really tell if I have any better restriction yet, but I lost 2lbs yesterday! I know, I know, its water weight since I'm on liquids for 2 days. But, I'm 2lbs away from Onederland!!! Tuesday will be my 3 mos anniversary. I hope to be 199 which will mean I lost 30lbs in 3 months. My Dr. did say that he started feeling a lot of push back on the syringe at about 1.9cc, which usually means that is getting close to an "ideal fill" or sweet spot as we call it. He said to fill past that resistance usually results in needing an unfill.
  7. Mom, Down 3lbs here this week. I'm soooo ready for my second fill!
  8. Here is a fun NSV for me. I got a call yesterday from a company I sent my resume to on Monday and have a job interview tomorrow! I have been out of work for 14 months and it's been 9 years since I was last on a job interview. I pulled out my old work suits and my DH fell over laughing. It looked like I was playing dress up in my dad's clothes. I did finally find a suit in my closet that fits, and the suit jacket is a size 12! I'm going out today to find a top for under the jacket and a necklace to jazz it up a bit. I just can't believe the size 12 jacket fit!!! Wish me luck!
  9. Well, I'm reporting a 2lb gain. I need to focus on exercise this week and get back into a routine. I go for a second fill next week and cant wait!
  10. Tami, I'm right there with you. I had my fill 2 1/2 weeks ago, and really didn't feel much restriction until this weekend. I had read about "delayed restriction" here on LBT, but didn't really believe in it. I've all of a sudden had a few golf ball incidences, mostly relating to eating too fast and too big of bites. Fortunately they have passed within a few minutes, but very uncomfortable. I'm glad to see that my band is actually doing something.
  11. Mom, Down 1 here.
  12. Mom, sorry for my confusing post. Week 5 I was down 4lbs (not 3). So I should read -1, -1, -1, +4, -4. Thanks!
  13. Mom, 205 here, for a total of -3 for the challenge.
  14. Brenda, We were banded the same day (2 months today!) and have almost the same loss (I am down 24lbs). I'm really happy with my loss too. I keep track of inches too, and have lost between 3.5 from my chest, and 4 inches from my waist, and hips. There will always be someone who will lose faster, but I'm thrilled that I am meeting the goals I have set for myself.
  15. I started at a size 20, and am now a 16W/18. I would be happy at a size 10, but would love to see 8. I am 5' 6 1/2". For me at about 160 I am a size 10, so I am hoping for the 145lb size 8. I have a very distinctive pear shape, and currently wear M or L tops. I wish I could just lose from my bottom half.
  16. I would call your DR. and try to get in to see him or email him this picture. I am VARY fair skinned and bruise over everything, but had no bruising from surgery. You can see my scar picture from 1 week out at the top of page 16. I hope it is nothing and you heal quickly, but I would call just to be safe.
  17. Hello sept bandsters. I'm back from a week long vacation and a gain of 4lbs :faint: . I knew I was eating more (and drinking), but we were out walking all day, every day. Oh well, live and learn. I got my first fill yesterday, and he went ahead and did 1.5 in my 4cc band instead of the standard 1.0. I am on day 2 of liquids, so I can't tell if I have any restriction yet. MOM, for the Christmas challenge, log me as up 4, which puts me a total of +1 :cry . I know this monday will be better now that I have my fill, and a couple days of liquid will help too. I'm glad to read about so many success stories. You guys are doing awsome! Keep it up.
  18. Food is most accurately measured by weight. There are so many variables when using measuring cups that can effect it. I work in the housewares (kitchen gadgets) business, and have every gadget you can imagine. I love my kitchen scale, and now weigh pretty much everything. I will use a liquid measurning cup for milk, but thats about it. I do also here my stomach grumble, mostly at night when I lay down.
  19. Unjury has some great options. They are available online and you can start with an assortment of single serving packets to try the flavors out. www.unjury.com . The unflavored is great to mix with crystal light or pudding.
  20. Down 1 here, Christmas total of 3.
  21. I get my first fill 11/8. I'm leaving on vacation Wed 11/1 to go to California for a week. I am traveling with my DH & DD's, as well as my sister, BIL, and their 2 kids. Nobody knows about my band except my DH, so it will be an interesting week. Normally when we travel together there is a LOT of alcohol consumed, usually in the high caloric variety like margaritas. I'm hoping just to maintain that week. The day after we get home is when I go for my fill. I can hardly wait. I am also a huge candy junkie. Halloween is a MAJOR issue for me. I decided to give away full size bars this year, which has made it harder for me to snack on. If there were little bars sitting around I think I would have broken into them my now. So far so good, the boxes are all still sealed.
  22. Here is what I ate today: B: 3/4 C Wheaties w/skim milk L: 2oz rotisserie chicken, 1/2 C applesauce S: Cappuccino Protein shake w/ 8oz skim milk D: 3/4 C cashew chicken, 1/4 C rice S: Fudgesicle Exercise: 40 minute walk
  23. Chewables should be fine.
  24. You need more solid food throughout the day. It looks like you don't eat anything to fill your pouch until dinner. That is why you are so hungry and end up eating too fast. My nutritionist requires 3 food meals / day and protein drinks are for between meal snacks. You are drinking over half of your calories, which aren't doing much to keep you full.
  25. MOM, 206, down 1 this week, 2 total for the challenge.
