I have been overweight for few years, i Remember the time i went to the doctor and i weighed in over 200lb, i was devastated. I got motivated and worked out and lost some and gained some. My all time high was 220lbs. I started research on lap band. I heard insurance would cover it, but was still really skeptical because, i just knew it would rot up inside my body. and then i was told you can never take it out... It just scared me away. I watched a lot of Medical Shows on overweight people, and it turned me around. I seen an episode of SECRET LIVES OF WOMEN and heard about 4 different women's stories to weight loss and took the plung. In July of 2008 i started my 6month program prior to submitting to my insurance, I think i did really well making healthy choices, and letting go of carbonated drinks(which included beer, and you know it wasn't so bad). I did really well until Dinner time ( i mean w/food choice not beer lol). and that was only b/c i didn't want My BMI to go under, i was afraid my insurance wouldnt' cover it.  Needless to say i didn't go under my weight just maintained those 6 months. I went for my last 6month visit the last week of January... the next week my dad passed away ( man i miss him especially w/ Fathers Day Tomorrow). man it was a tough time. Sometime around Feb 10th I got the call that my insurance approved me. Got right in the next day or so to see Dr.Snow(weighed in 214), and scheduled my surgery for 03/10. It sure gave me something to focus on rather than falling into a depression, like i did when my mom passed two years prior... I got on my 10day diet plan prior to 03/10 and it was rough at first and then it was like my will power just took over, i had lost about 11lb. Then my surgery date 03/10 i weighted in at 204. The day i came home was okay, i was in a little pain well more discomfort. about the 4th day i had some horrific gas pains, and started to feel like i was going to vomit.. though i hadn't eat'n in days... i had to do the suppository fenagrin stuff, and it worked really well, and my gas pain was let out thru both end (sorry tmi) by the end of the night.. and I was good to go after that. Today 06/20-- 3months in, I weigh 184. I am losing very slowly. I do work out 3x a week and do a sculpting video or just squats on the days i don't work out. I really feel like i am losing more inches then pounds right now. The scale is moving slowly. i have gone from a size 18(1x/2x) to a size 14- Everyday i get a compliment from someone that i am get'n skinny or losing weight, and they have no clue I had surgery. and that makes me feel really good.  My food choices are not always the best, but i do eat so much less than i used to no matter how good it taste. Fills- i just had my 3rd fill, i have a total of 5 ccs and my band holds 10..... There is tons more to tell of my experience and struggles, and if i shared it all you would read forever. Shoot me a message if i can answer any question. Have a great day. God is so Good.
