  1. Hi Everyone, Seems hard to get in the total of 64 oz. a day, regardless of what I add and flavor with. I've tried starting early am, adding Vitamin Water, adding Crystal Light, etc. etc.... Does anyone else have this issue and if so can you share your tips?? Thank you!
  2. What is the green zone?? I find it hard to deal with eating out with friends. I HOPE this gets easier. It's generally with friends that KNOW, so the entire time they are watching every bite I put in my mouth! SMH!
  3. Did you really say margaritaaaaaa??? YIPPY!!!!!
  4. My team had a nurse who answered ALL the questions so by the time I got to the actual Dr. most everything had been answered. Why is it the best surgery for you? meal plans? First fill date? Rules for the lap band...etc. etc. Good Luck. Keep me posted. I am 4 weeks post op as of last Friday. Down 25#'s so far and not really hungry until now. My first fill will be Aug. 5th. I AM So excited about my new journey.
  5. My Dr. told me for word "You are NOT going to hurt yourself or the band". He told me to go to the gym and work out; however no heavy weight lifting. I totally relate to what your saying though. I am 4 weeks post op and still a tad tight/sore when I get up first thing in the morning and or when I eat.
  6. HONEY!!!! It is just your body changing and all of the bad stuff processing and filtering out of your sysytem. Please remember to DRINK your water this will help to flush faster. Thank goodness I was on a sugar buster for 2 weeks prior and not total liquids. I could eat chicken, fish, baked or grilled of course and the right green veggies. IT IS hard but HOW bad do you want this. My surgery was on 6/21...as of today I have lost a total of 25#! SCORE!!! IT IS WORTH IT! {{HUGS}}!
  7. Good Luck! You will do do fine!! Take it very easy the first week! Keep us posted.
  8. You poor thing! Praying for you !!!
  9. Praying for you. PLEASE keep us posted! We are all here together!
  10. East ON a smaller plate or even a 1/2 serving size little bowl...like a tad of cottage cheese.... YES, I am still having the bloating! ????
  11. Whoooaaa! I CAN RELATE! Our choices are forced to be different! Life is different! Our mind set is different! I too feel as if those who know are constantly looking me up AND down...comparing...wondering...asking. Someone asked after 12 days ... "So since you are feeling better, would you have this again" OHHH MYYYYY...doesn;t it take like a year to be able to answer THAT question??? I think it takes a bit to shed all of the anesthesia out of your system therefore making you batSH&%cray cray for a bit!! Hold your head high take a gulp and GO FOR IT!!! WE GOT THIS!! This morning was my first trip back to the gym in about 6 months...and even that took some gumption!
  12. I feel the people who are over weight and interested in the band as well would not be judgmental. However, the skinny little ones who have never experienced "WHAT THE WORLD" is like to be overweight would NOT have a clue how others do judge and treat you different. After being judged for being overweight to begin with, it just seems to reason WHY we don't want others to know...at least until it has worked for 50# or more. I also wonder how many other people in Hollywood haev had it and never say a word.
  13. Oh joy....and I haev this to look forward too in 3 weeks? SMH I get my first fill Aug. 5th...I am already hungry in the mushy stage!?! Are you hungry or just scared?
  14. I can so relate to this post and others that have posted!! That's why I wish NO ONE knew about my band sometimes!! Those few who do...already drive me nuts! Sorry but all the questions... How much have you lost? (ReAlLy...It's BEEN TWO WEEKS)!!! Don't eat too much, make sure YOU chew, is that mushie enough? And is it just me but Do others feel poeple are CONSTANTLY seizing you up and down...like trying to see if there is a difference yet. (Whewww...sorry for ranting but I sure feel better and I bet some of you can relate).
  15. Moving on up in my stages which I am thankful for, however regardless of what eat, after about 45 minutes I am extremely bloated. Portions...1/2c. Grits 1soft scrambled egg. Last night it was 4 bites of grilled grouper, 1/2 tiny sweet potatoes all mushed. has anyone else experienced this? Does this subside as you read adjust to solid food?
  16. wooohoooo! First day with no pinching feeling in my band area. I finally feel like I am myself again; but wow oh wow has the hungry struck with evil. Four weeks until my first feel, hopefully it will subside. Thank you to everyone in this thread and to all bankers to be soon we are all wishing you luck and good health!
