  1. Thanks guys! This entire episode lasted about 2 hours! I feel like I have been through the wringer! WOW! I haev sipped water all afternoon and will remain on very soft foods for today AND tomorrow. THAT was a scary feeling. I will also be IN the Dr's. office Monday am for double measure. Thanks for all the information! Have a great weekend!
  2. I only THOUGHT I had been stuck before... Took a few bites of chicken and man oh man...threw up and now 30 minutes later and still spitting up tiny pieces. Seems to be a tinge of blood in the mixture as well. Is it possible something tore or I threw up too hard or something? Has anyone had this experience before? How long does it take to subside? Should I drink or NOT drink at the moment? Should I walk to help it out? I am SO thankful for this forum and the friends I have made here. Certainly not hungry now... On 3rd fill - 3 weeks ... at.6.5 w/14cc band... do experience restriction and being uncomfortable w/the last fill... Surgery was 6.21.13
  3. Ditto! Ditto!! Ditto!!! Hang in there chic! I think we are ALL on the same page. I am oin fill #3 and I went from the way you are now... not loosing in 7 SEVEN weeks!! Then after m last fill of #3 I have finally learned what the lap band is all about. NOW the eat tiny portions and chew, chew and chew some more fits the questions. I also think it takes several weeks for the band to adjust to the fills, and one day is not the same as yesterday nore tomorrow. In 10 days I have dropped 8 #...mind you my eating is VERY different from prior to this last fill. It will come - just be patient. I can relate to how people seize you and your plate! Get sick and tired of being secretly judged!! Good Luck!
  4. Can you give me some insight to Fitbit? I haev heard of it but don't know the logistics. Thanks so much! XO
  5. My I too enjoy enjoy Myfitness pal fpr tracking caloric intake only ...as well as Nike Boom for a work out app! However...LAPBAND <<< We need an APP for that!
  6. YES MAM! I had surgery 6.21.13...had lost had lost 33, then at a stand still for 5 weeks ...then gained back 4 or 5 and continued to juggle those 4/5 # for 2 weeks. HAd fill #3 and have dropped 7# in 8 days...however I think my band is very tight. The scales at my center stated I was hanging onto to 2#'s of water...which your boady naturally does once you start loosing. My issue is getting in the 64oz of water a day! IT IS TUFF! Just plain tuff! Are you drinking that much daily?
  7. HEllo! I am on fill number 3 (1/2 way of a 14cc band) and it is the FIRST time I have felt ANY restriction at all. However ... I went from ZERO to 90 I think...as ANYTHING I swallow feels very uncomfortable for atleast 5-10 minutes. If I eat on top of the first bite I end up with all of it returning! YUCK! Thnx for any insights others haev experienced...
  8. OH MY! Bahahhahaaa!! What have I stumbled uponon THIS thread? LOL! Thanks ! I needed this laugh today!
  9. I am just as confused as well!! I have lost 35# since 2 weeks prior to my surgery - 6.21.13... I am on 6.5 fill in my 14cc band. I have had NO restrictions up until this last fill...and it has been tough to get even ONE bite down! Hopefully we can both find the gree spot soon!
  10. It certainly isn't shaved turkey as I just had and now I am feeling PAIN! I do best with a Protein Drink...Guess this will be the breakfast of Champions for me from here on out and OHHHHHH How I miss breakfast! My favorite meal of the day!
  11. Me too! And it is scary! I am on Biotin but it is still falling out like crazy! Up'd my protein intake to 100. Still not helping! ?!?!? :/
  12. YOU look WONDERFUL!!!!! I can too relate to the plateau! I am on 6 weeks and it is aggravating! I think mine is not enough activity! Are you eatting enough?
  13. Ditto - RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! Mu husband keeps "Checking out my plate" at meal times...has even said - WHY are you eating THAT much; when in reality compared to what I use to eat - I don't think it's THAT much. However I am not eating itty bites portions. I am begining to wonder if I ever will?!?!?!?
  14. Banded: 6/21/13 - 2 fills so far Bkfst: Muscle Milk Protein shake Lunch: Deli Turkey - Boars Head and a couple of slices of cheese Snack: 15 Wheat thins Dinner: Probably Salmon or chicken and stir friend green Beans Still i am NOT getting in the 100 grams of protein they suggested.
  15. HI, Just courious ... After one recieves a fill how long does it take to adjust to the correct size. I know immediatly after the fill (mind you I've only had 2) the first couple of days afterwards are the toughest. Some days it seems the band is tighter than other days!?!? IS this possible?
  16. Walk it out!!! Walk it out! Walk it out!! Girlfriend!!
  17. I think I'm feeling YOUR PAINS! Mine seems to feel like a fist under my left breast...right at the incision site... Clear liquids for me as well. Fill was this past Monday (8.5.13) - nurse stated I had 1cc....so she added 3 for a total of 4! I didn't hurt until I got up this morning and it'sbeen ALLLLLLDAYYYYYLONGGGG today! Not fun and so uncomfortable!
  18. HI guys!! First fill was on Monday and felt great. Had 1 cc...she added 3. However upon waking this am I have been in some maje discomfort. Still on liquids...no issues swallowing, of drinking. Discomfort is located right at stomach area. (Under breast left side) lots of gurggling and noises ?!?!!?!? Any Tips or suggestions for any of you guys? Does this subside? Is this normal? Am I to tight? Did I pull soemthing? I don't know what and how I am suppose to feel...??
  19. Thanks for the great replys! This website is SO helpfull!! I wouldn;t want to do it without all the positive input! First fill was a breeze. My B-12 shots hurt MUCH worst. the nurse was very informative through the entire check up and process. BroRob - I actually have my post in the top portion of my shoulder, so ti is very easy access. I'm guessing tha's how we roll in South Georgia!! LOL! Liquids for 3 days...and then slowly back to normal. YAY!! Have a great week everyone!
  20. Banded 6.21.13 - first fill is Monday am. What shall I expect and how long do most stay on liquids? #firstfill and #afraid
  21. My Fitness Pal ..app --- it is GRAND! In my phone and goes everywhere with me. (Banded 6.21.13-first fill next Monday) I have found it very easy to order and eat GRILLED or BLACKENED FISH or chicken, sweet potatoes; generally split the meal or take 1/2 back with you. Also, I haev recently started ordering A GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST ONLY from Wendy's - funny how the cost depends on which one I got to and who is working that day. prices have ranged from $.99 - $4.89 for ONE breast. LOL!!!!!! On occassion I aheva baked potato but make sure I count the calories for butter and sour cream. GOOD LUCK!!
  22. Hoping you get some answers really quick!! I read your earlier post about yoru stitches and have been praying for you! Thanks for the recipe...sounds amazing! Keep me posted!
