  1. elcee, thank you so very much for those encouraging words. Will keep you on my progress.
  2. I do wish you lots of luck. I have also been going thru something like that. I went back to get a fill after not going for a year. I lost some of my fill and that's why I starting eating more. I gone to 2 monthly visits and have booked my 3rd. I think I am starting to get back on tract. I am down 90 lbs but still want to loose more. I also starting going to the gym. I think now my head is in the right place. I'm still feel good about myself but want to start feeling better . So good luck to you on your new venture.
  3. Just got a fill today and I am just wondering what is the purpose of drinking just liquids for 2 days after getting a fill.
  4. Keep up the good work and stay positive. I myself has gained back 10 lbs. and am now cutting out ice cream and cutting back on cheeses. These 2 foods are my downfall. Going in Aug. and can't wait to get a fill. Don't like the feeling. Just have to stay positive and exercise.

  6. I haven't been on these boards for quite some time. Right now I would just like to vent and get myself back on track. I was banded in 4/09. I HAD dropped 90 lbs. Right now I have gained back 10 lbs. due to my own carelessness and also with some health problems that my husband has. I have my next drs. appt in august and can't wait to get a fill. My problem is that I love any kind of cheese and eat lots of it and also my ice cream at night. I have stopped eating the ice cream and have cut back on the cheeses. My main meal is dinner. A lot of my meals are frozen like Stouffer's mac and cheese also I like Groton's Butterfly shrimp. I do make chicken thighs and cutlets and sometimes pork chops. I think I don't have enough of a variety and also I make some bad choices. I started doing my treadmill and the air walker which I really like. In one year I had 2 knee replacements and 1 hip. Now I can walk anywhere and all day long and have now pain whatsoever. I still need to lose about 50 lbs. and I know that I can do that. So I just want to say thank you for letting me get things off my chest and I now feel that I am going to start making better food choices and exercising.
  7. hI, got my 1st fill in june at 4cc's. Could still probably eat anything I wanted but little restriction. Got my 2nd filll last wk at 1 cc's. Total 5 cc's. Now I feel i definately can't eat that much with that 1 cc. Boy do I get full fast. 2 days ago my first slime or vomit happened and *I don't want to go thru that again. Not fun. I got banded on 4/20 and am down 28 lbs. and feel real good. I definately learned my lesson and So far I think yu are doing great. Keep up the good work.
  8. I also had my surgery done at NYU by Dr. George Fielding on 4/20. I am doing and feeling great. I hope by now you did have you surgery and you are on the road to recovery. I am down 231/2 lbs. and still have a lot more to go. Once I can figure out how to do the ticker on the bottom I will start it. any time you want to write or email me please do. Take care ronnie
  9. Hi Patsy, I had my band done on 4/20. I feel really great. I am down 23 1/2 lbs. My weight is going down slowly but that's the way to do it. You will be fine and also feel great. I had no problem with the liquid part I drank 5 slimfast a day and was quite full and never hungry. Before you know it the surgery will be all over and you will start seeing the process. Any time you want to write or email me please do. You will come through this just fine.
  10. Hi Amy, I also had Dr. Geo. Fielding do my surgery on 4/20. I went for my 1st fill of 4cc's on 6/3 and my next one is 7/1. I am feeling a little more restricted each time. I am down 23 1/2 lbs. I feel great. Sometimes Idont even feel like eating. My next question is do you exercise. I have bad knees althought I am starting to feel the difference. Would appreciate anything you can tell me. ronnie
  11. Hi Sarah, I also felt the same way. especially when I started to eat regular food. I got banded on 4/20, my 1st fill 6/3 @ 3cc's. I am feeling a little more restricted. I am down 23 lbs. since pre-surgery and am very happy. As i get my fills I'm sure more weight will start coming off. next fill is 7/1. It is coming off slowly and that's OKwith me as long as it comes off and stays off. Good Luck:smile:
  12. banded on 4/20 and doing great. I had no problem telling everyone. Guess I felt that I was overweight for so long that soon I was going to start looking and feeling great about myself. The 2 wks pre-op i drank slim fast 5x a day and lost 9 lbs. I knew other people that lost much more. Everybody is different. I had my 1st fill on 6/3 and as of today I am down 23 1/2 lbs. and feel great. Whatever works for you is the way to go. It's a slow process and one that will be with you for the rest of your life. So let's all enjoy the process for a healthier and better lifestyle. Good luck to all the bandsters.:cursing:
  13. Hi Lauren, Good luck with your surgery. I had my band surgery on 4/20 and my 1st fill on 6/3. I am doing great down 23 1/2lbs. Had no problem with the liquids for the 21 days. In fact I was never hungry. Prior to surgery I drank 5 slim fasts a day and post surgery 3 slim fast. No problem, you can do it. It's all worth it. I am feeling great. Good luck
  14. Dear LibbyJane Thanks so much for the info. On wed. they gave me 4cc's. I already feel a difference eating a little bit less. Hopefully I am on my way to becoming a new me. I get my next fill on 7/1. I am anxious. Agains thanks.
  15. I got banded on 4/20 was doing great until i started eating regular foods then gained some. Tomorrow 6/3 i go for my 1st fill and am really anxious. I know that even with 1 fill I know that it is still a process. So I am looking forward to this fill and hopefully I will be on my way to a new me. Right now I have some restrictions but I know that they will become stricter. They say the 1st 6 wks. after surgery is basically for healing. Sometimes I feel I don't even have a band. Although I am definately eating less. If anyone out there can let me know how they did after their 1st fill I would really appreciate it. Thank you all.
