Hello ladies, Boy the weekends sure go by quick. I hung out with my girlfriends this weekend and had a good time. Besides the fact that I didn't stick to my meal plans. Gosh, I need to get a handle on hanging out and staying away from the carbs. They all know I'm getting the band and are very supportive so that helps. Yea Donna & Tina I'm excited about the class on Thursday. and then my pre op with Dr Park on Friday wow...I need to go tomorrow and do my blood work. I have to get back on the wagon. None of these slip ups this week. I'm up for walking and if we have time a quick snack. I was going to work form home on thursday but I think I'm just going to take it off so I don't have to keep checking my email all day. Candra, where are you girl? I know yo have your appt w/ Doc Fisher tomorrow. Do you have your list of questions? Maybe we can stop by target or walmart thursday afternoon and pick up a few items. Ladies I'm so excited!! just 2ish more weeks Woo Hoo

evening ladies...well those of you around. No we didn't get together today, but I did walk the bridge early before it got hot. So today was Michael Jackson's b-day and there is a chicken & waffle place in oakland that was serving waffles for 51 cents...like I needed one but of course I got it any way. It was so good but i know I'm going to pay for it all week. How's the weather up in Sac area? it is so hot in the bay area. Tina glad the resume helped. I did a lot of research to finally get it together. You can also google interview questions and it will be very helpful as well.

Hey ladies, just getting home. Ugh had 2 cocktails with my girlfriends. My head feel like it's going to explode. I haven't had a drink drink in a while. I know I won't make it on the walk if we're still going. Can't type much more I need to lay down....Can't believe it I used to be a pro at this.

How exciting Chris. Isn't it wonderful to have wonderful supportive mate? Love it. I sure hope we all don't get this sympathy pregnancy thing. J I've been grazing on nuts all morning. Bev is great…and that’s nice of Fisher to see you today, probably concerned. Candra you don’t have a thing to worry about. I guess all of them have their moments but T.C.B. when the time comes. Candra I'm in the same hell all of a sudden...had an order of McD's fries, what's up with that? My husband didn't want to wait for dinner so he ran out to McD's and on his way out I yelled for some fries and what does he do? bring them! I'll try and make it to the group meeting Wed, but it may be tough since I'm off Thurs & Fri I may end up working late or something.

hmmm, same with me. I've been doing a good imitation of Atkins Induction as well and was able to drop 23 lbs.

Congratulations Christine! what a blessing. Ok, I'm kicking into parent mode.....keep this to yourself until Bri comes home so you can tell him. Then first thing tomorrow go to Kaiser and get confirmation, email/call Dr Baggs & Liz. You have to do everything by the book.. we only want to best for you and the little one. evening everyone, back from my walk, very refreshing it was a beautiful evening. Candra next time, I hope to go again on Thursday and then counting Sat I will have done 4 days this week. I'm no Riley Jane but I do ok Riley sounds like you had a good trip plus a whole lot of walking. I'm sure you'll be ready for your marathon. Don't leave the slow people on sat. Tina well if you decide to stick around at least you will be able to jump back in once this economy turns around because you know that they are not going to be able to do without CPS for that long. Also, I did a lot of resume searches on google and pieced together things from different ones. Donna I got your IM I guess I was signed in all day, oops. I'll remember to log out tonight I think my job is pretty safe since I work for the school of medicine, doing a very unique job. It's just the across the board furloughs that's a pain in the butt. We are hoping that it will only be for a year and then go back to regular hours. The UC system really doesn't need the state, in fact they just loaned the state $250 million. thanks Pam, this was my original question. I called Bev to find out if I needed make an extra appt with Dr Park to give me some documentation and she sent me on this wild goose chase I'll just ask her myself when I have my pre op appt. ok it's time for me to go home...I'm walking tonight Candra 6pm at the bridge

mee too, I have a gang of sick time so I'm using it instead of vacation. but what I don't understand is why they are asking me to fill this out before I leave and according to Tina and the others are hinting at it, I won't get this filled out until after surgery. This elective thing is bothering me...I hope I don't have to tell the job I'm doing an elective surgery.

I see why people shy away from working for the state.

ok so I'm still trying to figure out the FMLA stuff I've already talked to 4 people none of which could help me, now I'm waiting for a call back from someone else....So we don't get disability here until after 30days so I have to use my sick time and after 3 days off you need to apply for FMLA (which insures job security) did I mention that I talked to Bev 1st and she said this is elective surgery so i can't get FMLA B.S. oh joy this is going to be fun...I need to find out since these FMLA papers say I need to return them by Sept 8th which is a week before the surgery.:thumbup:

Morning ladies, Tina I'm so sorry that you have to make such drastic a move, but under the circumstances it sounds like you are getting ahead of it and making all the necessary preparations. Stay strong and try not to stress it’s not good for the band. We have our furloughs looming too, with my new position I think I’m at 18-20 days now. I need to make some calls to bariatrics too, I got my FMLA paperwork yesterday and I guess I need to set up appointments to get that taken care of. Did anyone have FMLA? Or know how that works. I want to be sure I’m ahead of that too since I can’t afford to be without a check. Last night I baked a chicken and made chicken salad for lunch today with the leftovers…I’m excited about that. Why don't you try making 2 lists pros and cons? That may help in your decision making. Remember do what's best for you and Aud and we are here if you need us. Funny you should mention salmon...I made some last night for my lunch the next couple days and it was so gross. It was wild salmon, I know now not to get that anymore.
