  1. I'm a newbie so excuse my ignorance. But if that is the case, then why get the band? If I could make the right food choices and exercise, and eat the right amounts then I would have done it by now. You know what I mean? I was kind of hoping the band would force me to do so.
  2. Thanks so much for responding!
  3. and successful with the lap band?
  4. I got fat one way, and stayed this way for another. I gained 100 pounds in less than 2 years. Came to find out I had an underactive thyroid. Figured if I was going to be fat anyway I might as well eat. I also gained another 30 pounds in 2 months from the depo shot. Pigging out, and 3 kids later, I still have all 130 of it plus an extra 25. Before-120 After-275 5'7"
  5. Ok, so I found out tricare prime doesn't cover lap band but I have heard of people with tricare that did have it done. So if you did, what did you do to get them to cover it? Thanks!
  6. I don't think my insurance is going to cover the Lap Band. :cry The do cover VBG though. I guess it would be much better than GNY, but I really want a lap band! BOOHOO I'm just starting to research VBG, what have you heard about it?
  7. I am 5'7". I don't have a goal weight yet but 175 would put me at 100 lost, so we'll go with that.
  8. :cry Sorry I didn't realize the link was for champva. I'm going to be so sad if they won't cover lap band!!! I don't go see my doctor until July 24th.
