  1. For me it wasn't so much the gas pain but the bloating from the gas. I left the hospital on June 5th looking 8 months pregnant! I never imagined going in for weight loss surgery and coming home looking like I had gained 40 lbs! Thank goodness the swelling and bloating went down after a few days at home.
  2. I started my pre-op liquid diet on Memorial Day and did well until today. I fought every urge to cheat and eat real food but some how I made it through the moment. That was until a few hours ago. I had a momement of weakness and went to Wendy's and got a kids meal and ate the whole thing. I am even more disappointed in myself because I knew that I was already at an increased risk for surgery problems because my liver is 3 times the normal size of someone my age and weight. I feel so helpless and I'm worried I am going to have trouble staying on the diet now because I couldn't make it 10 simple days on liquids only. Anyone go through a similiar momemt of weakness? I am prepared for harsh responses, heck I probably really need to hear them so that I don't fail like this again.
  3. What positions did you all find most comfortable during the healing process? My boyfriend is already anxious thinking he has to wait 2 weeks to get any. He's so scared he might hurt me or "unsnap my band" LOL I tried telling him that won't happen but he asked that I ask you all which would be a safe position?

  5. I begin my pre-op diet on the 25th and am trying to plan what I will drink so I can keep some variety. Since I don't want to drink pre-packaged shakes all day at work I thought about bringing smoothies with me to add Protein powder to but I am concerned that in the five hours between getting to work and going to lunch that the smoothie may deteriorate. Does anyone have an storage ideas? Is freezing and thawing an option? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!
