For me, the worst thing post-op was...

The incisions!!!! Okay, the gas pain in the shoulder was terrible, but was inconstant. For me, the incisions were the worst. It was a constant merry-go-round of ice packs.

Also, prior to surgery, I slept on my tummy. So, I've had a hard time sleeping on my back.

But I'm down about 12 lbs already and I feel FABULOUS!:rolleyes2:

The worst thing for me post surgery in the hospital was not being able to PEE! I had to be straight cathed twice! ugh... That is resolved now, thank goodness. I'd say I agree that the worst thing here at home is the aches around the incisions, like muscle/tissue aches from them jabbed all around in there. Hurts to move over in bed, get up, get down, etc.

the gas!!!

Trying to paint my toenails 2 days post op. Bad idea.

For me it wasn't so much the gas pain but the bloating from the gas. I left the hospital on June 5th looking 8 months pregnant! I never imagined going in for weight loss surgery and coming home looking like I had gained 40 lbs! Thank goodness the swelling and bloating went down after a few days at home.
