FRUSTRATED to say the least. All the while knowing, I am eating sugar and carbs, not exercising. I have lost 70 bs. over the last 2 years- mainly the 1st year and have maintained since. I still have ~175 to go. Having transient waves of nausea- no vomiting. Could something be wrong with band. No pain, nothing is getting stuck?

I am 15 months post REALIZE band. I lost 65 lbs. with a lot more to go. I have platued for 4-5 months now. I am at 8.6cc in band. I have a 14cc band and do not feel full. They tried to put in 9cc last fill and I refluxed so they had to remove .4cc. I do not have a feeling of fullness until about 1 hour after I eat. Has anyone else had to have a lot of fill before finding sweet spot???? :Dancing_biggrin:

I drank an icee a few hours ago and I am soooooooooooo bloated and cannot burp. I have walked, taken Gas X. any ohter suggestions other do not drink an icee. I figured that one out on my own:eek:

I am in the Houston area. I was banded with Realize band 2/17/09. Have lost 60 lbs. to date. Keep checking in on boards. Good Support.:thumbup:

I have had it for 15 years. I am 11 months out on band. the major factor I have noticed was getting off sugar- my symptoms were reduced by 90 %. Over the holidays, I got back into sugar and have been flaring ever since.

I am in League City. 10 months out with Realize band. Down 65 lbs. but leveling off still have 100 more to go. I am looking for support group in Clear Lake area?:blushing:

I am 6 months out and have not lost for a month despite a new fill. Does anyone know of on-line programs to journal food to see where I am?:sad:

Did you have surgery with Dr. Robert Marvin? He was my MD banded on 2/17/09 with Realize band. I was hoping to find other band pts. with him. It sounds like you have met your goal. I am down 50 lbs but have 175 more to go......

Scout, Have you had any fills post surgery? I am 5 months out and have 6cc in 10cc band and still having some hunger issues. They tell I am not quite at my sweet spot on fills. Let your MD know about your struggles. You are not alone. Keep in touch we are all in thie same boat.

I am 5 months out and have platued @ 50 lbs. I do not know if my body has reached the limit or what. My MD never has given me a food plan only told me eat low fat and low sugar but never mentions portion sizes and how much. If you have any plans please let me know.Still have 180lbs. to go.

Hi out there, Anyone banded with Dr. Marvin? How is your experience?

I was banded 2/17/09. I have lost 41 lbs. I'm off BP med. I do water aerobic 3x wk. I am taking Lantus 85 units HS and BS are staying 190- 240. I thought there would be a decrease by now????????? I still have 200 lbs still to lose. any suggestions?

I was banded 2/17/09. I have lost ~ 30lbs. and I'm holding pattern. I had 4cc fill 3 weeks ago and gained 5 lbs. I don't fill any restriction. I hope you have had more progress since this post. I have 200lbs. to go and noone is noticing the weight loss...

I was banded 2/17/09. I lost 31 lbs. in 5 weeks and had first fill 4cc. I have gained back 5 lbs. and ferocious appetite. I have 225lbs. still to lose. I am scared I am back sliding...... Noone has said anything about the weight loss. I know that sounds vain, but I am working off my butt here and noone is noticing. Any suggestions for the long haul?

I am soooooooooooooooooooooo ther with you. I was banded 2/19/09. Lost 31 lbs and 8 inches in 5 1/2 weeks the had 4cc fill of 9cc band felt restriction for 1 day and my appetite has been ravenous since then. I am craving sweet big time and cheated on chocolate over Easter..............it goes down easy.... Next fill is not until mid May. I am scared too:sad:... Hang in there and keep posting.

I am about 4 1/2 weeks out. My port did the same thing. It is a combination of your weight loss and the swelling. Mine is flat now. I go for my ist fill tommorrow.. alittle unsure of what to expect. I have lost 28 lbs but have not lost any in 2 weeks. My appetite is coming back so I guess I am on tract. best of luck!! Dancing Butterfly

I was banded with Realize band on 2/17/09. My BMI was 65.0 I have a lot of weight ot lose and am very scared of failure. I am 3 weeks out. I live in Houston, TX. I have lost 26 lbs. but I go back on regular food tomorrow and my appetite is raving.....

Hi Everyone, I had the Realize band on 2/17/09. Tommorrow will be 3 weeks. I have lost 26 lbs. but today my hunger is coming back loud and clear... I am a little worried. The first 2 weeks I had no hunger at all. I am glad to fing this site. Hope to hear from ya'll soon!
