  1. I was a PBR drinker until a couple months ago. I still go to the bar on the weekends, I just drink unsweet tea. I don't drink it during the week so it's more special to me on the weekends, if that makes any sense. If Bell's Oberon was ever made available in the Birmingham-area, then I would be drinking that, regardless of the pain. I haven't had Oberon since I moved from Michigan.
  2. Stupid question: can we bring our dogs to the park?
  3. I can bring some Crystal Light drink sticks and the like anyone wants them to put in their water.

  5. Since surgery I can't get myself to injest another protein shake. Dr. Rumbaut gave me an Isopure 40g protein drink which is kind of like a Gatorade-type drink and I have one a day to supplement my protein intake. You can get them at GNC and they're onsale this week.
  6. Here is my blog chronically the events down here in Mexico. The surgery was a success and I will have more info on my blog when I get around to it. Scott's Adventure to Mexico
  7. Greetings from Monterrey! I'm about to have surgery in an hour. Once I'm awake and have internet access, I will let you all know how it went.
  8. This is a good thread. I got a tat to celebrate my divorce on my left bicep which is pretty flabby. I'm hoping it doesn't look like crap when I get all light and buff. Once I loose 100 pounds then I'll get my other arm done...I just need to decide of the design....decisions....decisions... :smile2:
  9. I have a Sam's Club membership that we can take advantage of.
  10. Hi everyone. I'm getting banded this week down in Mexico. I found out that Dr. Long in Birmingham will do fills for other people's lapbands; he charges $150 a fill. Has anyone had any experiences with him?
  11. I couldn't tell you, personally since I'm on the pre-op diet right now; I get banded this Thursday.
  12. Dr. Rumbaut recommends to his patients Optimum Nutrition as the best tasting out of the bunch. I started with their 16-flavor sampler pack that I ordered on Netrition.com. I picked up a couple two pound containers on sale at GNC earlier this week. They have a huge variety of flavors and some taste ok with water and all that I had were ok to pretty damn good with skim milk.
  13. I'm on the pre-op diet now and am having skim milk with my protein shakes, thinned sugar-free pudding, and milk with tomato soup. The five days before surgery for me is a clear liquid diet which is really going to suck.
  14. This date is perfect now that I think about it. It will be the first day I will be able to eat solid food so we need to have a ceremony, hehe. Just let me know what I can bring to help.
  15. I just confirmed today that my BMI is 58.5. This also the first day of my liquid diet. I haven't been told to loose any additional weight prior to surgery.
