  1. Hello Julie, I'm from Harrold, which is about 30 miles east of Pierre. Glad to meet you! I've upped my Fiber because they told me that I had a fatty liver so I did some research and read that a high fiber diet would help get rid of that but I'm still stuck. I'm going to increase my exercise and add in more weight training. My problem is that I have a hard time getting motivated to exercise. Well that's one and also I have a big chocolate dependancy. I just really don't know how to get out of this rut. Thanks, Julie
  2. Hello, I had my lap-band since Feb. 2009. I lost about 66 lbs in the beginning but I'm stuck now. It doesn't matter how much I have filled I don't seem to go anywhere. I have been trying to change my eating habits and increase my exercise but I do fall short in both of these areas, I need someone I can talk to. Someone who can help to encourage me to keep going. Thanks, Julie
  3. I am in my tww. If everything works out right I should miss my period on June 16th. I tested yesterday but it was too soon and it was negative. I'm going to test again on Saturday and see what happens. Keep me in your prayers and I will keep you in mine.
  4. I got banded Feb. 25, 2009 and my husband and I are currently trying to have a baby. I've lost 45 lbs. so far. I was trying to weigh my options, should I loose more weight or get pregnant? My age is also a factor, I'll be 40 in July and when I had my daughter a year ago they were more concerned with my age than with my weight so I have opted to try for the pregnancy so that I can get through it and get back on track with losing the weight.
  5. I will be 40 in July. My husband and I are currently trying to have a baby. Our baby girl turned 1 on May 29th. When I was pregnant with my daughter some of my tests came back with not so good results and they told me that I had a 1 in 13 chance of having a baby with down's. I had them do an ultrasound but declined the amnio because I heard that it could cause complications and everything seemed to be going good, no indications that the baby was having problems. I also gave it to God and on May 29th, 2008 I gave birth to a healthy, beautiful little girl. I am not worried about having another baby but this will be my last pregnancy (I have an 18 yr. old son and my baby girl).
  6. Congrats to the both of you. I was banded on Feb. 25th. I had a lot of back pain from the gas but within a week it all went away. Other than that there was no pain. Best of luck to the both of you.
  7. I am new here too. I was banded on Feb. 25th. Everything went perfect and I was able to return to work on Mar. 2nd. I did have a lot of back pain caused by the gas that they use to blow up your stomach so they can see what they are doing but the more I walked the faster it went away. Good luck to you!!
