  1. You look great! I think you look proportioned perfectly. I have very large breasts and was scheduled to have a reduction but, chickened out. That was at least ten years ago and I'm about the same weight. I'm torn over weather to do it, because I still have a good bit of weight to lose. Did you have yours done at a normal BMI? I weigh 249 and am 5' 6.5". Even at 145 my breasts were very large and disproportionate. I'm losing, but very slow. I think I should wait till I'm 1 year post-op. Any advice? P.s. I wear an 18 Jean's, but, am still a 2x on top. I wear a 46 ddd, but may be smaller as I need to bring my band tight. I really should be a G cup, but is hard to find. Thanks!
  2. I agree with ArMom. Stop as often as possible and walk a bit. Good luck!?
  3. I'm not sure, but wanted to say I'm 7.5 months post-op and I'm having a egd next month. I've had chronic upset stomach and nausea since surgery. My PA thinks it could be this. Not sure how to cure or treat it? I try to take protonix everyday, but sometimes I forget. Doesn't seem to help.
  4. I had a repair and vsg as well. I had middle chest pain after surgery when I drank fluids the first 2 weeks. It has since gone away, and in fact, I'm not sure if that it a symptom from the vsg or the hiatal hernia repair.
  5. I just wanted to say welcome to the site. I was the same as you, I became very reclusive. Now that I've shed a lot of weight I love to go out everyday. Even just to go to the store and get dinner for my husband. Mostly for him, because I can't eat much and we way different foods. Good luck on your upcoming surgery!?
  6. 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 6 months 1 year and annually after that. Ask if they offer a cash discount if you pay the same day. Good luck!
  7. I love it! ? Saw the 2nd movie with my grandkids. It was so good!
  8. Anything with iron will taste gross. Jmo I took the chewable for 2 weeks also, then switched to procare vitamins. They kind of stink, but I chase it will my chewable probiotic.
  9. I love your dress and those shoes are amazing. I'm doing ok. I'm going to be having an EGD because I have an off and on again stomach pain/upset since surgery. I haven't got the date yet until they get the approval. I will let you know what I find out. I'm at 251 and have lost 87 pounds. I feel like I should have lost more, but probably am waiting too much. Last night I ate a whole croissant with no ill feeling. If eat chicken it hurts after a few bites. I try to stick to soft proteins. Yogurt is the easiest on my stomach. I still have tons of restriction, but am finding I can graze a bit. I'm still trying to be very mindful of what I eat. I am at a BMI of 39.9 which is just below morbid obesity. I still have a long way to go. I really hope it get there by 18 months. My dr and I will go over my options at 12 months to see if i need/want a revision to DS. I'm having so much lose skin and would consider doing my arms. I carry my weight in my upper half of my body and have way smaller legs. I guess we all have our problem areas. Mine is my arms, breasts and stomach. You're looking good! How much do you have to lose to goal? I'm at a spot that most people started. But, overall I feel pretty amazing! Take care! Stay in touch. ?
  10. I can see the change big time! You look amazing!!
  11. Girl you are on fire?? My surgery twin!
  12. That's too bad, Sheri! I think people that are mo have a hard time dealing with someone else taking care of themselves. She probably would have a hard time looking at you and being happy that you are losing and she is not. Don't take it personally!
  13. My lipids are higher now than before surgery. Just got my results. How can I lower them? Any suggestions?
  14. Thank you! Not sure I really understand this, but I'm going to see if I can watch some you tube videos tomorrow.
  15. I agree with Jenn. I was very regretful the first week. By week 2 it was so much better and today life is so much better. Hang in there.?
  16. I've lost 83 pounds, but can eat more and seem to be losing very slow. I told my PA I would reevaluate at my 1 year post-op appt. I'm almost 7 months post-op and close to going below a 40 BMI, so not sure if that could interfere with having a revision. I still have diabetes and take BP medicine.
  17. Is it basically converting to an rny then?
  18. Can anyone tell me in layman's terms what a ds does? My Dr wanted me to do this surgery, but opted for a sleeve. Can you convert to a DS from sleeve. Thanks so much! Sorry, not trying to hijack your post ?
  19. Maybe try a vegan cheese? It looks yummy!
  20. How exciting and scary all in one. You're gonna rock this! Congrats!
  21. This does seem worrisome. I agree with Fluffy! Got to the ER. I have never thrown up and if I were to throw up this much, I would be there in a minute. Good luck! Let us know how you do!
  22. I get the same feeling, even tonight with rice and shrimp. After only a few shrimp and couple bites of rice I feel somewhat of a pain in my chest and nausea. I sat the food down and was able to finish about 15 minutes later without that same feeling. Meat is hard on my stomach and I'm almost 7 months out. Hopefully with time it will get better!
  23. This is awesome.? Love hearing people's updates, it keeps me so motivated. Congrats!
  24. I'm almost 7 months out and I still do not get a "hungry" feeling. I do enjoy food, just in much smaller amounts, it takes a few months. This time is really tough, just hang in there!
