  1. I added mushies a week sooner then I was suppose to. I just could not do it any longer. 2 weeks is way too long to me on liquids!
  2. I only waited for about 7 days. I then had a godmother (vodka and amaretto) and it went straight to my head! The next night I had another and I plan on having one this Friday. I was banded on 02/05/09.
  3. I'm on day 11 and I have no restrictions at all. I feel I can eat anything with no problems. The creamed soups help me the most but I do not strain them, because there is no restriction. Actually, this weekend was really bad for me and I ate too much stuff...I will start anew this evening!!
  4. I understand how you feel. I am about 11 days post op and I had a horrible weekend! I ate everything I could get my hands on and it was not all liquids like it should be. Everything seemed to go right through my band and I had no restrictions and the more I realized that I had no restrictions the more I ate! This evening I'm extremely depressed and wonder why I did this. I was so happy at the time because I was not hungry...what does one do when they have messed up so bad?? I guess I need to start fresh and move forward. The liquid diet is horrible and mushies I'm sure will be just as bad. But I need to be strong I know that.
  5. I've been using the following site to track my food intake and activities. I find it very helpful to ensure that I get the correct amount of Protein and calories in. I just wanted to share this everybody because it's a great free site www.fitday.com

  7. I had my first appointment in the middle of June and I just had my surgery on 02/05/09, so a little over 7 months. I could have pushed it up a month or two because I got behind with some of my appointments and then I wanted to push the surgery out until February for work reason.
  8. I know how you feel - I'm only 6 days out and I have no idea how I'm going to make it for 6 weeks. I've added soups to my diet even though they are not suppose to be added for another 2 days. I just had to because I was starving. I can not wait to get to mushies and really food.
  9. It gets better trust me! I was banded on 02/05 - I actually felt pretty good the next day, but by the third day I was exhausted and slept most of the day. I must have over did it on the second day. The worse part for me was the liquid diet. I actually had to add some soups because my stomach keep growling and hurting. After some soup all was good. Hang in there it does get better!
  10. I also cheated a few days after with deli turkey. Although I chewed it very well I was wondering what damage I may have done. I also, have no problem at all getting all my water in. I have feel in restrictions at all. Thanks to everybody for posting...it answered my questions and will help me stay on track.
