  2. Thanks for answering my post.I went back to my Dr.on tues.and she removed 1/2cc.I am already able to eat a small ammount of meat and it is so good!!! I feel like now that I can eat some hard protein ,I will be able to do better .I plan to re-group and keep on trucking. Thanks for the pep talk!!! L.:smile2:
  3. Hi,I just had to reply to your thread! you are not alone!!!I just passed my two year point and have not lost any credible ammount of weight this past year.I had a fill last April and have known I am to tight but felt like ,if I couldn't eat much ,surely i would lose a lot of:glare: weight .!Not so!!! I have struggled since then with not being able to eat solid foods to drinking a lot of Protein drinks to ice cream ,flavored coffee anything to satisfy me.Tomorrow I plan to start over with a small unfill(my first) and eat enough hard protein to hold me between meals.Of course I am unhappy with my weight loss results of 45 lbs in two years!!! It is still a struggle but I am not giving up!!! We can only start from where we are! My personal E.Mail is .....tamaya62@aol.com .....I would love to buddy -up and start fresh..Keep me posted...Laura
  4. Hi,I have a size14 Lap-Band and have had nine fills to get real restriction.! It has taken over a year and a half!!I have no idea why my Doc.used this size.I don't know if it is standard procedure or not.I have had slow weight loss.Hopefully now ,things wil speed up!Laura

  6. I woud tell him to kiss off!!! You have done fantastic and he should be praising you for it.My surgeon would have. He's not much of a Dr.if he can't make his Pt.feel like she is doing a good job.Maybe he wanted you to pay for more surgery and have a bypass! Get another Dr.!!!L.
  7. wow,be careful. What if you midded the port and don't know it. even Drs.sometimes miss the port.

  10. Hi,I have read many of your posts and have seen how successful you are. congratulations to you. recently there was a discussion on high protein versus just a regular diet.I get tired of feeling like should get more solid protein.I get a lot from my protein shakes.Solid can be to much for me ,mostly early in the day.Could you please give me an example of how you eat and how much you exercise?I must find a good example to follow.Thnx,L.
  11. Hey,all.I must jump in here.I don't post much.first of all congratulations to all who have lost weight ,whether it be slow or not. What's wrong with slow and steady? So,we hit a few plateaus along the way.I never thought this would be a quick fix. everday is a learning process. What can I tolerate, how much fill, how many calories.....Please ,can we all just relax and let the band help us control ourselves and not get so caught up in how fast we lose weight??Thanks for letting me vent,LOl,L
  12. Seems like no one has posted on here for a long time.I am 18 months post-op and have come to a halt on weight loss.I know this is my own fault as I have become comfortable where I am.it is my intention to reach goal this year .I refuse to give up! Let's help each other get back on track :ohmy:Remember"slow and steady wins the race!Laura

  22. O.K.,I have to put my two cents in here!I had the Band because I never coud stay on a diet plan!My ultimate goal is to eat all the foods that I enjoy in small quantities.I understand the need for adequate protein and try to eat mostly heathy foods.I also eat a few treats some days and I feel like this is real life.I would like to see some more comments on this.Laura:blushing::laugh:
