ok dear....please excuse me....ok i want to support but i had to laugh at ur last sentence about u telling the doc u had a nervous breakdown over popeyes chicken...lol lol lol....ok, now calm down! u had some naked strips right??? i understand u sd u got u some rice also..but u just had one bad mistake....the fact is u realize now it wasnt a good idea to get lunch for the crew u obviously know u maybe messed up..so just make sure u try not to take the same route again..its ok if u had some naked strips and a few bites of rice..... now if u had some of the fried chicken...shame on u...lol im just j/k but walk ur toe into the wall (ouuucchh!!!) if u want to discipline ur self about it...lol..good luck in the future!

well thats good to hear..im glad that even though u started to get the cravings...that somehow u were still able to loose! thats good girl...regardless if u have the cravings and u did decide to have a lil of the bad stuff u still shouldnt be able to consume it like u used to back in the day with the band...so good job on whatever ur doing!

what is an "upper GI"??? and also im wondering was the hole there before the surgery or after????? could they not have detected this while in the middle of doing the surgery????

whats so good about the sleeve...its not really popular down here in dfw,tx.......i know that people up north are doing it..b/c my fiance's family live in ohio...and i have heard it mentioned out there quite often.....is the sleeve better then the band?

ok...so im not really all the way understanding...ur situation...so u only have lap band due to a hernia???? so did they just placed it in u without schooling u on it...or asking u if u wanted that particular procedure.....???

Hey there...well here is the situation...i am currently employed with a company where i obtain my aetna pos II, and im currently in the process of the 90 day prep....the job that im switching to is another big bank also....and they do have aetna choice pos II also....but im worried if aetna with the new company will make me do the doc visits all over again...my start date is 3/23 with the new job and i have one of my monthly visits on 3/27...luckily my insurance starts day one with the new job, but im just wondering if anyone has experienced this and if any of yall had problems...i called my case mgr at lap band solutions and she sd they usually just let my stuff roll over...but i wanted to see if any one has experienced anything like this....thanks!

Hello ladies and gents, i was just wondering....i dont have the band yet, but its been on my mind if anyone around my age (23) are having issues loosing with the band at a slow pace even with the correct nutrition and atleast 3x's a week 30 minute cardio exercise....i would assume...but not expect that b/c we are still young... we would see atleast a 1lb loss per week....also when did u loose your first 10lbs after the surgery??? To be honest my best friend's wedding is in august....and she is begging me to be in it, but as many of us are or were..i still am extremely self conscious about myself...big arms..big calves...apple shaped girl....and i refuse to be in her wedding looking the way i do...she is soo mad at me..but i told her....that i had been planning the surgery and im aiming to have the surgery in may 2009, if i get a final approval from insurance. im hoping if do get the surgery round may by the time the wedding comes..i will be somewhat in better shape than now.....oh yea also is it true that you loose weight in the areas with the most fat first??? mine seems to be in the gut and inner thighs....thanks for yalls time!

hello i have a question regarding coverage for citigroup employees in texas with aetna......im currently employed somwhere else and my current job is with aetna and covers the band, but im worried that when i start with citi group....they might require me to work there a certain amount of time, and i have already been going to my monthly visitis......i would really appreciate it if anyone who works at citi who had the surgery or knows a citi employee who had the surgery if one the company covers the procedure, and two if u have to be employed for a certain period of time....luckily benefits start day one...but i dont know about citi's restrictions and allowances when it comes to the lap band..thanks yall!

My surgery date isnt for a while tink....im probably looking at around may.....b/c aetna is making do a 90 day disciplinary thing

I ask this because i have never ever had surgery in my whole life, excuse me men that read..but the closest thing to having medical tools inside of me is an annual pap, and i dont have kids as of yet either so i know my body is in for a real shock!...lol but anyways....other than stretch marks, i never had any major scars etc.......ive been a big girl all my life but i have been blessed with good health where i never really need to visit the doctor but for basic yearly check ups....I have failed and succeeded at weight loss in the past but i have been overweight foreeevvver....so the lapband is my final decision...im just nervous about feeling weak and helpless after the surgery, like the post op surgery stuff i read about on here. im still doing my doctor visits..but i would soo appreciate all of yalls support and input on things when the time does come to be poked and bandaged.....thanks

OK ladies im your typical apple shape...... :tt2: i got big gut and a flat butt...but i was wondering if that is something that can be changed as i loose my gut??? I had a friend do gastric...and she didnt have a booty...but she is growing one now!!! my flat butt is genetic...but i atleast want a lil bump back there....i still have 2 more months to go before i can schedule a surgery date..due to aetna requirements....but b/c i have been over weight for like 16 years.....i just have soo many dreams of what possibilities my body can look like... so let me know yall!!

Hey all im 23, well not until tomorrow, i have not gotten banded yet, I live in arlington, and have my first appt on 12/31, luckily i called aetna and they said my insurance will cover 90% of costs, but im looking to loose 85lbs at the most...im currently at 245 dreaming to be 165, and praying for the day i can fit a size 16 instead of a 20!!! please ladies i would love to become more familiar with everything....hope to hear from u!!
