  1. Steph, thinking of you. Hope you are doing well.
  2. After I heal I just plan on using my Spanx which go just below the breast line. Right now I am wearing the one they put me in in the hospital. It is getting a little loose though.
  3. Monday will be 2 weeks since my surgery. Today is the first day I feel somewhat back to normal. I was itching for a shower so I hooked my drain to my bathing suit top and was able to shower. I swear that was better than the best meal or sex! I felt so good that I was able to shave my legs too which was quite nice. My husband is washing my compession garmet so I am very happy. Put some fresh PJs on and I'm good to go. It was so nice to wash my hair in the shower again. So today is a good day. Just taking it slow but had a good start. Hoping the drain will be out by early next week.
  4. Hi Dee, sorry my post might be a little too late. Dr. Robert McKeen, South Bay Bariatrics is an awesome doctor that takes other doctor's patients and Mexico patients. He is $200 for a fill. He is near Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose. Bascom Avenue and Good Samaritan Drive. I hope he can help you. Julie
  5. Mine are $200 self pay. $500 is high.
  6. It is typical to take a few bites and then the pouch opens up. That is first bite syndrom. You may find that you still have that response with a good fill. The difference will be that when you start to eat again you will not consume as much and you will feel fuller longer. That is when you get closer to your sweet spot. The first bite syndrom may be still the same with the fill but you should eat less and be hungry less often. HOpe this helps.
  7. I know some people are against unfills for vacation but its a personal decision. I did do that once without regret. I had .3 taken out and gained about 3 lbs which wasnt' too bad. I would just make sure you get back to your sweet spot asap after their visit. It may take you a couple fills to do that. Have fun. Don't overdue it though.
  8. Stay on liquids for 2 days then move to soft foods. You may be slightly swollen. If that doesn't work you may want a slight unfill.
  9. Steph, thinking of you today. I hope your recovery is an easy one. Best of luck!
  10. Steph, congrats on your tummy tuck. It was a lot easier than the thigh lift. I do still have one drain in. You should be okay to do the payroll. Good luck finding an outfit to hid the drain for the track event. I wore a sweater over a top the other day and it hid it well. Have fun and good luck on Thursday.
  11. Hi Steph, I think doing things day 5 and 8 is a little agressive. If you can get at least 1 drain out and hide the other and wash your hair in the kitchen sink you may be okay. I do feel okay but am tired. I've only had a 15 minute outing since surgery. Looking forward to getting the final drain out this week so I can shower. Good luck Thursday.
  12. Hi Kat, he didn't give me anything to clean me out. I took a laxative 4 days after surgery so I was able to go on day 5. That realy helped.
  13. Thanks girls. Really looking forward to having the drain removed in the next few days. I am really hoping to take a shower soon. I think that will make me feel better. My stomach looks great.
  14. Hi Ladies, my before pics probably look about the same. My friend has them on her camera so hopefully I will post them in a week or 2. You are not going to belive how great the TT really is. I can honestly say this is the best cosmetic thing I've ever done. I am not in size 16 which was my goal. I only want to get to 200 lbs and as of yesterday I was about 10-15 lbs from that. I lost 6 lbs during ps and it finally showed on the scale. The funny thing is that I have lost my appetite as well so I started to lose again. I go back in for a fill in about 10 days. Good luck on Thursday!
  15. HI Ladies, I wanted to let you know that the surgery has finally hit me. I feel like a freight train has hit me finally. Not sure if it is because of the blood drains or what. I am trying to wean myself off of the pain medication because it makes me feel really tired. Yesterday I tried to put some regular pants on and that was a problem with the thigh lift. I really bled from that. Today I am not wearning any pants at all so I am much more comfortable. My husband washed me down with some nice healthy soap so I feel more comfortable. I should get the final drain out on Monday or Tuesday. Today I have only bled out 25 ccs so that is good. My typical day runs 50 ccs. Overall I am satisfied however not really sure about the thigh lift. He didn't stich me very tight so I still have some lose skin. I really though that problem would be resolved. I haven't been able to wear my girdle yet so I'm wondering if the thighs will look better this week after I start wearing it. I'm sure Karey yours will turn out good because it sounds like the incision will be around the body more. My stomach looks awesome thouhg. I am thrilled.
  16. I took 2 weeks off. The tummy tuck was a breeze accept for the drains. I think 2 - 3 weeks is plenty. My thigh lift is a little more difficult. I do still bleed a little bit from the incisions.
  17. Steph, when is your date? What exactly are you having done? For me the tummy tuck has been really easy. I can't even tell you how great my stomach looks. I had a lapband friend over this a.m. and showed her my abs and she couldn't believe how flat it was. 6.2 lbs of pannus. I am thrilled. Good luck. Julie
  18. Hi Karey, I am feeling really good now..just a little tired. I'm up and around on my own now. Thanks for the tip on washing the binder. It definitely needs it. I should get my drain out mid to late next week. I am thrilled with my stomach. I can't believe how flat it is. I am now wearing baggy 14/16 pajama bottoms. So who knows I may be in a size 14. I'm okay with 16 though. I am taking the liquid tylenol with codeine right now just to make sure I'm not in any pain. I do take 1 vicodin only at night to help me sleep. I'll post some pics as soon as I can get a pair of underwear on. Julie
  19. You are correct. It is just like fixing a flat tire. Its a little bit thicker than saline and yes, it does work. You might want to look it up on the web and take it to your doctor.
  20. Yes, it can take a while for good restriction. It took me about 6 months before I felt good restriction. Yes fills are a pain in the butt but so worth it. Good luck with your decision.
  21. I went in 20 lbs from goal. I look really good now. My stomach is completely flat now. Its so exciting.
  22. I'm in Northern CA so its more expensive here. It was $11,500. That included anastesia, hospital outpatient and follow up care.
  23. Hi Ladies, I am doing really well. Finally went to the bathroom today for the first time so my tummy feels better. I am still a little tired. I am really glad I have one more week off of work. My tummy and thighs look really good. When my facial bruising goes away I'll post my before and after pics. Julie
  24. Hi Karey, thanks for the post. My chin looks awesome. I had a fat pocket under there that he just lippo'd out. It is flat as a pancake now. I just need to wear the chin guard at night for the next 2-3 weeks. Its bruised pretty heavily but worth it. I feel really good today. I did get my period so its kind of interesting trying to figure out how to handle that with the brace and everything. I timed it so I wouldn't have it the day of surgery. My pain tolerance is really good. Much easier to get out of bed now. I am not bleeding very much from the thigh incisions so that is a good thing. I'm on meds every 4-6 hours just in case. I take the tylenol with codeine during the day and the vicodin at night to help me sleep. Tomorrow or Saturday I am going to try and wash my hair in the kitchen sink. I can't shower until the last drain comes out next week. Thanks for the post. Always feels good that people care. Julie
  25. I had one drain taken out today. I can't believe how flat my stomach is! I love my new belly button. He said he used the old one but I didn't realize that until I spoke to him. He did the muscle repair. I have no double chin at all. He lippo'd it out and I have a face strap that I now have to wear a few weeks at night. Its completely gone. Feeling good today. It did hurt to get the drain out though.
