My sweet spot has been reached.
Well, so far so good. I had my last fill 4 days ago and was back on regular foods for the last two days. I think my band is perfect now. I tend to eat yogurt for breakfast and it goes down with just a little bit of slow down. Lunch is a tiny bit tight, and supper is perfect. I'm now down to about a cup of food at supper time....which is when I really need the help to stay on track. It looks like I will be able to maintain 1000-1200 calories pretty easily now. I was averageing a couple of hundred more then that before the fill. It doesn't sound like much difference, but thats almost half a pound a week difference. I have cut back to about 10 hours of excercise a week. I'm really busy at work right now, and the reduced calorie intake should make it all equal out.

LOOSE is not LOSE.
And your point is? A. How smart you are B. How ignorant others are C. How superior your are D. How inferior others are Posts like this make me laugh, because it never fails that, within the post will be an error. LOL..... Thats short for Laughing Out Loud, but isn't really the correct spelling, but since you know what it means, I guess the definition of communication has taken place. How on earth could this really be bothering you, and if it is, maybe you live too charmed of a life?

Results after one month of tracking in and out
I have now tracked everything I have eaten for one month. I also, tracked, via the bodybugg everything I have burned. I'm just a little bit disappointed. The calorie defecit should have resulted in a 12lb loss for the month. I officially only lost 8lbs during this period. It could be that I gained 4lbs of muscle??? I did maintain and average of 2 hours a day of excercise, so maybe? But I think it is most probably a combination of the bodybugg over estimating my calorie burn by 2lbs and maybe 2lbs of muscle. Overall I'm pleased, but I was really hoping to make it to halfway to my goal this week. but maybe next week?? I did get a fill today, and I was able to take another 1cc. The last fill lasted well, and I think this one will last even better.

Gastric Sleeve and having babies?
Yea, I can see that, I guess right now she is heavy enough that the doctors are saying she will have a very difficult time getting pregnant. My wife has been reading the stuff about the surgery for my daughter and now she might be interested also.....oh man, I wonder if I can get a two for one special.....one can dream!!!!

Gastric Sleeve and having babies?
I noticed that Gastic Sleeve is not recommended for people with a history of GERD. My daughter doesn't have it, but I was just wondering, why? They instead recommend GB for people with a history of GERD?

Gastric Sleeve and having babies?
Man, that is good. The friend is actually my daughter. She is 24, and I want to get her started on a better life, I don't want her to spend the next 10 years struggling, just to get nowhere. I figure between the genetics she inherited, and the bad food habits we taught her by example, she doesn't have a chance.

equal pay between the sexes
Seniority is used for more then just pay increases, but don't kid yourself it is mostly in a union shop that paying for seniority in of itself is used the most. If your making a part that cost 10 dollars and the profit is 2 dollars, paying someone because they have been there for more years, and making only 1 dollar, or nothing is just not a business model that will ever survive.

Gastric Sleeve and having babies?
Ok, I am starting some research for a friend. Yes, really a friend, since I'm a man and obviously I can't get pregnant. Does anyone know how difficult it would be for someone to get pregnant and or go through a pregnancy with the gastric sleeve operation?

A solid week of no weight loss
You would think I would be upset, but I'm really not. I had an ok week. Didn't get to exercise as much as the week before, but still got in 5 hours worth. Using my calories in and calories burned record I should have lost 2-3lbs, but the scale shows nothing. I would be really frustrated, but since I know exactly where I'm at, I know it is just water weight changes making the scale not move. I can tell, I'm now starting to need a little fill again. I'm doing good, but my daily calorie intake is up about 100-200. Next week will be one month since my last fill, so it will be time for a fill anyway. I hope to get 10-15 hours of exercise in again next week, and see a nice loss for the week.

Anyone have trouble/get stuck with fingernails?
I really can't imagine such a habit. I have seen people who have this habit real bad....I suggest talking to a doctor about different ways they can help you with your anxiety or whatever it is that is making you do this. Hey, how much Protein is there in a finger nail???????? Just kidding!!!!!

How much to expect in first two months
8-12% of your total weight.

Men and the Band- Banded 4/1
The "Men's Room" is where a lot of guys hang out. I eat cheese almost everyday. I like it, and as long as I'm watching my Protein to carb ratio, I'm usually going to lose weight. It isn't "Manly" to need or want help, and a lot of posts are about getting help, so many men don't post.

Smoking
Nicotine can really affect your bodies hydration level. Hydration level can make big changes in restriction for me. It is best to quit, just to be more predictable. Nicotine Patches for some reason, really make things bad for my band restriction. It makes the restriction from morning to night change much more and is way frustrating. Quit before and never look back, you will be much happier.

girl knocking on the door, please!
My wife was pushy after our first date. Frankly, I was so busy and so self absorbed about my career, she had to be this way. If it wasn't for her pushing we would never had continued dating. She did the right thing. I'm not saying it will always turn out this way, but you never know. To me, there is no difference between seeming desperate and being desperate. I just believe we all live quiet lives of constant deperation anyway. Anyone who doesn't acknowledge this is just pretending in my opinion, so it means nothing to me.

doctor holding records hostage
I needed my records from a hospital visit unrelated to the band, about 2 years ago. It was 5 pages of stuff, and they charged me 100 dollars to get it. Anymore, I demand a copy of anything as I go, before I pay the deductible. It's sad, but doctors offices are like any business, they don't want to do anything once they are paid.

*Susan* revision from band to sleeve
My favorite full liquid food....Progresso Clam Chowder in a Magic Bullet. Oh man, I crave it sometimes even now!!!!! It makes the chowder thick and yummy.

Do you floss your teeth?
I think the study concluded that mouth wash with alcohol can lead to an increase in cancer rates. But you should probably use a non alcohol brand anyway.

Work for a WLS
If you think he isn't going to figure out that you had a lapband placed....your wrong. By the time you start to get restriction, you are going to get stuck, he will know.....it is like trying to hide it from another lapband person....it isn't going to work. Most surgeons and doctors really only care about the money. Don't kid yourself people, that is why anyone does any form of work. You should ask for a cut rate deal on the sleeve from him. I think he will be very very supportive, since he knows your putting in the work and you will be a walking in office success story.

I hate birthdays.
This weekend was another birthday party. While I am careful to never exceed what I burn for the day, it is difficult. I only burned about 400 calories more then I ate. Not a good start to the week, but I'm still hoping for the 3lb loss that gets me to the halfway point!!!! I'm going to really have to bust some ass this week, hopefully work doesn't get in my way.

equal pay between the sexes
I do agree some jobs are difficult to measure productivity. But I don't think that is really very often. Seniority systems of pay are really just a good old boy system disquised. If you work all day putting luggage on a cart, then a person can't really say, it takes much more then a year to figure out the job. After the first year, the pay should be equal. The seniority based pay is just what unions do to try and take care of the workers who have been there longer. They do that because they know the workers who have been there longer tend to have more enfluence. It almost never has anything to do with productitivity. Its just a form of office politics.

equal pay between the sexes
Some occupations are actually better paying for women then they are men. Aviation, being the one I'm familiar with the most. An average woman in aviation will make somewhere around 1 million or more then the average man with the same exact career path. Why? Because the better jobs are always desperate to hire women and will hire them much sooner in their careers then they will hire the men. Just a fact. I really don't recommend aviation to most people, but if it is a young woman who is interested, I am very positive and highly recommend the career.
