Couch to 5k.....come join me!!
I did my 25 minute runs today, no sweat. Actually lots of sweat but it was not as hard as I expected. The C25K program says the 25 min run should be about 2.5 miles but mins was only two miles since I'm running a little on the slow side. Having the nike plus is helping me alot because I can see the small speed gains each run and worry less about the speed walkers on the track passing me. The indoor track I run is 9 laps to a mile and I usally loose track at about 14 laps unless I really concentrate, does anyone have a trick to keeping the number of laps straight in your head during long runs?

What does your daily meals consist of?
I eat whatever I'm hungry for and workout or run 6 times a week. The blessing of the band is I cannot overeat. today for exanple Breakfast Sasuage, egg & cheese biscut 1 instead of the 3 I would have had before the band lunch 2 slices of pizza, instead of the whole pizza I would have had preband dinner 1 Starkist tuna lunch kit and a candy bar.

I havent checked in on this thread in a while, weigh loss has slowed a little but it's still going in the right direction. I'm 332 as of this morning. the doc did'nt fill me last month because I was losing so fast. I will have a fill on thursday though. He is planning on "taking up the slack" he will fill the band then let go of the plunger and let it back out until it stops, anyone heard of this? Anyone use Muscle Milk for protein?
I prefer Atkins, Muscle Milk has a slight aftertaste and a few too many carbs for me. All in all it's good though.

Couch to 5k.....come join me!!
Great to see you all doingso well. I did week 6 day one today and it almost kicked my a$$, It was way harder the 20 minute run last week. Of course I ran the first 5 minutes at an 11.5 minute per mile pace and my normal pace up till now has been 14.5 to 15 minutes per mile. I'm already looking forward to my next run on Monday. I tweaked my knee on the weight machine yesterday and it's still a little sore "but not when I run" what types of stretching and lifting are yall doing to supplement your running?

Any restriction before first fill?
I am 2.25 months out with no restriction but the doc said no fill until I stop losing weight. He is not going to screw up as good thing. For me the band keeps me from overeating and thats about all I needed to lose weight.

Dr. pushing for bariatric surgery
It took my doc a year to talk me into the procedure and I'm glad he did. I love the band, have not had a fill yet though. With my doctors consent I eat about anything I want the band just keeps me from eating too much, It seems the band makes for easy weight loss for men who excercise. Ninner

I don't know what to do with my husband
I'll interject mu opnion, Why do women always want to do stuff "together".I've been married for 14 years and one thing I've found is that absence makes the heart grow fonder. You do your thing let him do his and make sure that the time you spend together is quality time doing things you both like.

WHy didn't anyone tell me....????
For me, I've found that no excercise = no weightloss. It does not matter how little I eat. Do you have any idea of your calorie count, you could be eating a 1/3 less as you said and still not have a daily calorie deficate.

How low can you go in 09 weightloss challenge#1
I was cleared by my doc to start weightlifting last week and I've been hitting them pretty hard, as a result the scale hasn’t moved this week, my arms are up 1.5" and belly is down 3" though so I guess I can live with it. Tomorrow I will finish week 4 of couch to 5k, if your knees are up to it I highly recommend it. I actually look forward to running for the first time in my life, weird:blush:?

Fat loss vs weight loss
Unless your calculating body fat using the water displacement method you probably don't have a very accurate number to go by.
