I was banded febuary 26th of 2010.  I did really well throughout the surgery with very minimal pain when i woke up in recovery.   I did require pain medicine when i got to my room along with some phenegren to settle my stomach down.   Walking at the hospital seemed to help the most with gas pains and gas x strips have become my best friend.  I am still not able to sleep well i have to sleep in a chair because i cant sleep in my bed on my side like i would like to.   But all in all i think i made the right choice!
