Road to "TWOterville"
Waterlily, green peppers are difficult for me, too. They're hard to chew up completely. I've never come to this thread before, but I'm on my way to TWOterville as well.

Tired and no desire to eat
Molly, whenever I am overly active I lose my appetite as well. But I've always considered it a good thing. Just eat your required Protein and don't worry about it, I'd say. When I recently moved I lost 10 pounds within a week and a half or so. But trust me, the hunger returned.

Has this happened to you?
This sounds like what happens when I eat too fast and don't chew enough. But it usually takes a while before the pain starts, like 20 minutes.

SO supportive.
Becky, I just started a blog this weekend!! I was going to wait to share it, but I'll go ahead. I'm trying to make it inspirational for those banded and informational for those considering the band. I'd love input from any of you. http://alltheyum.blogspot.com/ Cindy

BBQ Chicken Pizza-(no bread)-but tasty
Oh I see, the comma between CW and BBQ sauce threw me off.

What is Carb Watcher?:girl_hug: A Google search says it's a Protein drink. Is that what you're talking about?

body temperature questions
I'm cold all the time, too, but looking forward to what that means when it's 100 degrees-plus here in Texas this summer. Maybe this will be the first I can mow the lawn without huffin' and puffin' and nearly killing myself. Woohoo!

SO supportive.
Wow, that sounds like something stupid my mom would say. I wish I could cheer you up, but my only advice is that you learn to ignore those kinds of comments because that's just how she is.

Girl Scout Cookies
Hehe, Sonia...that's funny. I'm thinking I need to share some of mine with others as well. I noticed last night that I've got quite a collection of junk food in the house right now. In fact, I overindulged a bit last night...but not on the cookies. It's was Dreyer's ice cream Dibs. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THESE. They are irresistable.

Hair Loss/Wigs
Oh, also...it's about $12.50 a bottle at my salon, but if you have one of those salons in your local Wal-Mart, they sell bottles in economy size, so you get a better deal.

Hair Loss/Wigs
Hey, you might try a more expensive shampoo and conditioner as well. Try Biolage from a salon. Works great, smells great, and you'll see a difference.

Girl Scout Cookies
Ours are $3 apiece. I've really behaved myself with them. I received them Sunday and today I finished the first box I started. I think that's shown great restraint!!! There was only 15 Cookies in the box.

I'm a Pissy Missy
That would have made me really mad, too, but I agree with whoever said just nod and do whatever you have to do to get approved for the surgery. My nutritionist was straight out of a dumb blonde joke. She told me to shoot for 1500 calories a day after surgery. I said, "How can I achieve that only eating 4 ounces of food three times a day?" Then, she whipped out a meal plan and Breakfast included a half a bagel. Just think of her as a customer. She's always right, even though she's generally wrong. Do what you gotta do.

im upset cuz my parents
Rissa, your family doctor is not the one who should be deciding whether or not you keep the band. You and your mother need to schedule a visit with your surgeon to discuss the issues.

Goal Met
Congrats! You look like a totally different person.

what do I turn to now? Starting to feel low!
Tinker, in the beginning, I felt the way you do. I've been banded for a little over 4 months. You definitely do need to find new hobbies. Oddly enough, my new hobbies are related to food. I took up gourmet cooking and also started a scrapbook for family recipes. Perhaps it's a little dangerous to be so close to "the enemy," but I don't find myself being tempted that often. I've always blamed my hunger on my brain, but now that I'm banded, I'm really not hungry unless I wait too long in between meals. It makes me feel better because all those years when I failed at dieting, I kept blaming my willpower. What a bunch of nonsense. It's going to get sooooo much easier, Tink. You did not make a mistake. Yesterday I went clothes shopping for the first time since the surgery. I bought pants that were 4 sizes smaller. Mine were literally HANGING on me...I looked ridiculous. Sometimes I have so much energy I don't know what to do. In a few months, you're not even going to care about food because you're going to be wanting to get out and do things and meet people and live life the way you should have been living it all these years. Best of luck to you! And congratulations on your band.

Girl Scout Cookies
Need I say more? It's time! Your nieces are at the door. You want the Cookies. And, you want to help the kid out. DID YOU BUY? I bought a dozen boxes. What?!?! Quit looking at the screen like that!!! :straight

Lying down after eating
Wow! I guess I'm the only person here who tends to eat late...or maybe I'm just lazy, I dunno. I'm actually quite tired right now, as it is 11 p.m., but I didn't get to eat until 9:30 tonight, so here I sit on lapbandtalk.com. :faint:

Makeovers
After years of black knit pants and big bulky sweaters, I'm having a hard time changing my style. As much as I've hated the way I've looked over the years, in a way, I've gotten comfortable. Is anyone else having a hard time letting go of those clothes that are now getting too large? Does anyone know of a website that helps with self-makeovers? :help:

Major Setback
Hey, consider yourself fortunate. Lots of companies aren't covering 1%.

Lying down after eating
Last time I went for a fill I received something from the nurse that said not to lay down for 2-3 hours after eating because "food that sits in the pouch for an extended period of time can stretch the pouch." I wasn't given this rule until over 2 months after surgery. Anyone else given this advice?
