It is fairly normal to have the shoulder pain mine hurt relly bad for about a week.. The I want to burp feeling is from the swelling around the band. It comes after fills as well. You are new at this so just ask questions and do not worry everything you are experiencing is normal.....

How did you know who to call at Blue Cross Blue Shield? My Drs. office does all that and I wouldn't have a clue where to call? Good for you taking it into your own hands, I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan I had to wait a year anyone else out there have any experience with them > My insurance is from Chrysler Corp. I went to the Cadiologist yesterday everythings the same as 3 years ago, Pulminary Dr. scheduled breathing test and says things look really good,see both on Nov.25th so it looks like I worried for nothing as ususal. Nesting does that include cleaning every closet nook and cranny. I have been on this simplify my life trip for a few months. I just want change change change surrounding me, I fine myself reorganizing and organizing everything from my closets to the glove compartent in the car..Having surgery 2 weeks before the Christmas holidays makes me wonder how I will feel. I didn't bounce back after my Gall Bladder surgery which everyone said oh thats a piece of cake. I just want it over so I can start the external Change. HUgs Sue

Finally I found this thread I am so computer illiterate. Today I have my Pulminary and cardio, Monday was my endroscophy no hyenal hernia just reflux and I got a prescription that cost 540.00for 90 day supply my insurance will not cover it....... Anyone know how to get prescriptions in Canada????? I have my date Dec.10th waiting for insurance. I plan to start the diet the day after Thanksgiving mine is no fat 1000. caloties I almost wish it was an optifast plan I obviously have a problem with choices.....THis is so nerve wracking wait wait wait. Glad I have you guys that are going through the same thing...Oh yeah I got really sick after Mondays procedure, vomited once and really bad diareha, Dr said it was caused by the gas used during procedure and I ate a bowl of a cream soup afterwards. Hint follow the Drs. orders to the letter, he said CLEAR liquids.....:thumbup:

I am in Sebring welcome maybe all the Fl . folks maybe we can meet at a beach next year . When I won't look like the beach umbrella.

Glad to hear there are other Florida banders, I live in Sebring Surgery in Pt. Charlotte with Dr. Bagan on Dec.10 anyone else out there. I have never used a discussion board before so am just getting use to working my way around here. I can never find my post or my replys . My son just rolls his eyes at me, he better get use to a new mother one who post, excercises and says no to lets eat out.

I have waited for 14 months to get this done (insurance ) This week I have the Reflux test Pulminary and cardio, I am just really feeling stressed over these evaluations. Like some ones going to say NO you can't... I had to have emergency Gall Bladder surgery last year and ended up with pnemonia and with my asthma I was sick all winter. Does anyone else have these stressers, like at the last minute someone would say No you can't have the surgery......

You know I'm so happy to finally be doing something that I know will have a long term results. Can some one help me with all those people you come in contact with who are just plain nosey. I don't feel that I owe anyone an explanation but being a people pleaser has probably led to a lot of my weight. I live in a retirement community and I can not believe the things peole have felt it was ok to say to my face let alone behind my back. I would be lying if I said it hasn't bothered me. I just need an idea of what to say to people who wonder why I am always at the Dr. and what to say after my banding. Some may really care but I think a lot are just using their concern to be nosey. Ideas please Hugs

I am scheduled for a Dec. 10th banding. I have had the nutrition and physcologicals . Next week the Cardio and the Pulmonary on the 13th . I am actually dreading those more then the banding I Hate Stress test, had a bad experience once. This has been such a long process the insurance required a 12 month wait and then the Dr. I chose couldn't get it done so I went back to my original Dr. This has been a long 15 months wait, and I guess I am not a good waiter. One thing this is the first New Years where I can say next year I am going to lose weight and actually succeed at it.....:thumbup:
