Hi all Today was day one of pre-op diet it was okay until lunch then I got really hungry ...I stayed focused.. Just ate dinner about an hour ago that was definitely satisfying.. lol..9more days.. whoo.. hoo:smile2:

Hi Bunnies I start pre op diet tommorrow and surgery is set for 17th I have one last pre-op appt with surgeon 4/13 I can't believe after everything I am finally getting banded..This has beeb a long journey but worth it up to this point I am looking forward not back...lol They have me using bariatric essentials...:smile::thumbup:

Hi All my Bunny Bandsters Just wanted to give a quick update. Finally got the offical approval yesterday pre-op 4/13 start liquid diet 4/13 and surgery on 4/17.. Excited to finally be on the road to losing.. This is the greatest B-day present ever. I will be sharing more news as it comes. :biggrin::thumbup:

Hi April Bandsters still waiting on my official approval 4/17/09 is my tentative date. I will let everyone know when I am official on board.

I also used them for dental missed one payment cause they do automatic deduction and the garnished me and I ended up paying double then what the original amount of the contract was written for. They have no understanding for one mistakes.

Horray for you wheverson on getting the approval:thumbup: . How long did it take? I am too tired of waiting my insurance rep told me it should at the longest be two weeks:thumbdown: for the aproval but I am hoping for sooner. I was told that you have to do pre-op diet two weeks prior to surgery so you should be all good t go soon.. Goodluck

the 6month diet is only insurance required just to clarify.

What jack said pretty much sums it up in a nutshell.. My 6month requirement Did not require me to lose weight even though I have because I took it seriously and made "easy" but life altering goals that will help me post op....it was simply about making goals and changes preparing for your life with the LAPBAND. Every Insurance company has differant requirements so make sure and check with yours. It Does go quickly I just completed my 6mos 2/27/09. Good Luck

This is off the subject so I hope you don't mind me asking.. I am pre lap band and wanting to know how much weight have you lost? Have you had any other issues with yuor band? Do you still at this point get fills? How many fills total have you had and last but not least Any thoughts regrets since you've been banded? Thanks for sharing

I wish I had a secondary that would help with my portion out of pocket but I don't.. Yeah the plan that we have is pretty good they only require 6mos supervised diet and of course the other qualifying guidelines. I am just ready for the official approval

Wow that was a fast approval. Still waiting for the offical but I am 90% sure everything will be fine it is just a waiting game at this point is what I've been told. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US

Yeah... we should keep in contact then and be surgery buddies..lol My doctors office submitted my insurance approval and they called me to let me know it would be about two weeks for the green light but the nurse went ahead and scheduled a tenative schedule for April 17.. so I am excited and feeling good. Okay everyone cross your fingers for me. We submitted insurance approval for LapBand yesterday and the Nurse already called me and is holding a tenative date 4/17 yeah I am so excited this is so real finally I have been doing the whole process since July 08. My 25th Bday is 4/16 so this will be a great present to me.
