Steak, vommitting question
So last night we BBQ steaks and they were lean and I had about 4 ounces went down fine no issues. Well today for lunch I thought I would bring the other half of my steak for lunch with a salad took three bites of steak and threw it all up it was only about 3oz. I couldn't eat anymore. Now I am still feeling it in my chest area. So my question could it be that I am still too tight in afternoon for steak, I did chew well or could it be that body is starting to not tolerate steak? Do most of you tolerate steak. Thanks

Tight in the morning
I just had my first fill and it was 3cc's and today is my first day off liquids and I tired eating some cottage cheese with fruit and could only eat a couple bites and it did feel tight and snug. I am sure I am not at the point where I have the best restriction but I am happy that this was posted cause I was going to get on here and ask the same question.

First fill
good luck with your first fill let me know
-
a little disappointed first fill only 3 cc's
I can defiantly feel the difference with the 3cc with the fullness or it might be restriction I am unsure at this point just cause this is my first fill. But I am happy with the the feeling and also my doctor told me I could go back in 4weeks if needed.

My doc said 3cc in a 10c band is the max they will do in the first adjustment.. like the others said work harder if you want more results

Sorry if you got offended.. if you are a nurse then I am sure you know that people and nurses have all have differant outlooks on why things happen. So the best advice is like you said I've said we've all said get checked by doc. ONLY if it happens after everymeal would it raise concern?.. Sugar levels after eating will make alot of people feel sleepy after eating. Not to say it is normal but very common

First fill
So far it is going okay... I am feeing hungry but like you I don't want to push it either I am eating jello and popsicles and some soup things like that. With the soup I could only take a couple tablespoons and then I was satisfied so goodluck to all of us first timers..we are hopefully out of bandsters hell:cool2:

As I am going to school for nursing I am not quite yet medically trained but, Sleepiness it just not a sign of diabetes that actually is not even one of the major signs of diabetes. It can be Vitamin levels such as Vitamin D?, Iron, It could be that it is just a natural instinct since we were born we eat and the sleep so sometimes that happens to adults as well just cause. That could be related to blood sugar but it would be more cause of what we have eaten to cause a drop in blood sugars there is just some many variables that it is not right to assume diabetes? It is best to ask you doctor why you are getting sleepy have them run some labs and check everything. Not trying to start anything restless just being real honest I have a pet peeve when people assume the worst without going through all the options. Most of us on here are not medically licensed or trained it is just our opinions so check with you doctor. Also I am fresh in this game with the Band but if you try and eat slowly and pay attention to your stomach you should start to feel full. I do get hiccups to but not sure what that is related to. It takes your brain 20mins to recognize that you are full and you have to allow your upper stomach fibers to sync with that so just try to make sure you are giving your self enough time to eat. Good luck

Gain 4 pounds in 2 days- HELP!
My nutrtionist said that peanut butter reduced fat in moderation is a good source of protein and also there is low fat cheeses that are great for protein too. I know the rule is protein first, fiber is also great to help you stay full longer. I know peanut butter and chesse are fine. Water most of the time, crystal light and if you are going to drink juice 100% only and 8oz max cause juices have alot of sugar. The biggest thing my nut.. recommends is making sure you are not eating more then 3/4 of a cup at a time and protein with every meal and snack. Good Luck!!!

2weeks post op on solids and not losing
Thanks stephaine for your motivating words. This is a Journey and it is not always going to be easy I have to remember that. I am trying to stay positive. Don't have a dog but I can definetly crank up excercising. Have I-pod, active 7yr old daughter so we can walk around the school track for 30mins and I can do my biggest loser cardio tape and that is another 30mins/6days a week. I will check back in a week hopefully with some better results.

2weeks post op on solids and not losing
Hi All I am two weeks post op on solids all ready. I lost the first week but have not lost any this week. I am excercising at least 3days a week. With no results:angry: I feel great except I would like to see the scale move. I am hungry and at times I feel like I can eat more then expected. Any ideas I go to my 2week post op 5/6? Help thanks
