Are most of you in the New Haven area?

I havent started yet, but my husband runs so he is going to help out. I have the Couch to 5K saved, just waiting on the right time to start. My butt's a jiggla too!! The run isnt until September, so I have time. Even if I run some and walk some, finishing it will be enough for me :cool: That is awesome about the treadmill for you! Elliptical is HARD lol, I can do like 15-20 min before i feel like I might die LOL :regular_smile:

I do the same. I love SODA!! I have cut down immensely but I have some every now and then. I just flatten it and yum

My first fill was a nightmare!! I took a valium prior and it didnt help at all!! I am scared to get another one, but thank goodness I dont need as of yet. I was filled Nov 20th, and just went in for a visit today and it wasnt needed!~!

Thats great!! My energy just finally took a turn for the better. I started doing the strip tease workout and it WORKS!!! I am hurtin but feeling great about it!! I also am psyched to get my new bike outside. I am going to start running as well. My goal is to be able to do the Tunnel To Towers Run in Sept. It's a 5K. :thumbup: Gotta have goals!!!

Hey all!! I live in NY, but I work and had my surgery done in CT @ Greenwich Hospital. I had my surgery on October 23rd, 2008, one fill on Nov 20th and going for a visit today. I am down 34lbs now (although I havent weighed myself in a few days). Still trying to figure it all out. Hoping to talk soon!! Good luck to everyone :thumbup:

I hear my stomach talking to me a lot. IT says eat LOL, I do... 4 bites later, can't eat anymore! Hope you can overcome soon.

I got my period the day OF surgery when I got home. Good times - NOT!!!

I am eating mushy food, like Soups but if I chew chicken long enough I can get it down. I made the mistake of trying some crackers with it. BACK UP!!! I used to drink when I ate, now thats over and I felt so clogged!! How is everyone doing?

That's how I felt when I had too much sweet potatoes! My nutritionist told me to keep Papaya Enzymes on hand, they will add with your digestion. They are chewable, and taste GREAT! Hope you are feeling better. What else are you eating? I was banded 10/23/08 and under the impression I had to be on this clear diet for a WEEK and then liquid another week. I couldnt take it anymore. I been going with how I feel. Slowly with Soups, then cottage cheese (which I HATE) and now I Had an egg today. Good luck

Thanks Jmegirl I think they all have different diets but I have to be honest, I am just finding out what is working for me. So far so good, not throwing up... Hope everyone is feeling well!!

thank goodness. i thought i was the only one with the breath problem. i usually complain to my husband about him, but he said something to me for the first time after I brushed my teeth!! I am mortified and am constantly eating gum (i know I am not supposed to but it not like I am giong to swallow it!) So, our breath smells because we arent eating carbs? I was banded on 10-23 and I just started soups and potatoes. what is everyone else eating?

Super help. I thought I had to be on clear liquids for a week and I am ready to kill someone!! :biggrin:

Hey all, just popping in to make an introduction and hopefully get some answers from people who know better than I. I just recently had the Lap Band procedure done 10-23-08. Going through the motions. Doing pretty good gas wise, but still sore. Hope everyone is doing ok. Cant wait to talk more with you guys! Renee :eek:

We can EAT? I am sooo having the same stomach growling issues, but drink something and feel bloated. I dont have the gas issues as much, but still feel blah... This is so great to be able to talk to others going through the same as I am! Good luck to everyone!!!

HI Lesly... I am in the same boat, 33 and just banded this week. Hope we can share success stories and questions. You did better than I, I didnt do too much research, just made up my mind what I wanted to do and did it. How are you feeling?
