  1. I had my surgery yesterday. I can't believe I'm finally banded! I got in at noon. it was supposed to be outpatient but I ended up having to stay overnight because I had a lot of pain. the problem was that I had really strong core muscles so it was hard for them to get through them to do the surgery. they had to be rough to get through so now my stomach is really tender. also I woke up really quickly because of problems with nausea and pain. but the hospital was great and soon I was all caught up on the pain meds so it wasn't too bad after that. In the end I'm really glad that I spent the night in the hospital. I feel no hunger at all so far and for the first time since starting my 10 day diet I'm full! This is the best feeling. The lady that had the surgery right before me came to visit me on her way out of the hospital. her surgery was only about 2-3 hours before mine and at 5 she was dressed and walking around looking great!

  4. glad to hear you're doing well!
  5. I also agree that the liquid diet is harder at night. It's so much easier when I'm at work and keeping busy. But overall the diet is going well! can't wait for the 12th to come.

  10. They had me do a full pulmonary function test because I have asthma and its a piece of cake. they put me in this strange glass box and I to breathe as hard as I could a few times then I had to breathe for as long as I could a few times. Nothing to worry about
  11. Don't feel bad I cracked too! It just gets so bad around 4:30 and today I caved. but I know we can do this
  12. I also agree that this is no ones business. At work my managers are trying to pressure me into telling the people in my department but I don't want to. They are all catty 18yo sticks. I don't plan on telling anyone that doesn't already know. But it's true this is a personal choice.
  13. Thanks china! I can't wait for the new year! and great job pete! good luck with your surgery tomorrow! keep us updated!
  14. I've told all my family and close friends but thats all. I've only told a few people at work and don't plan on telling anyone else. Although now I've started my pre-op diet I have been getting stares from co-workers while I'm eating my broth. hahaha
  15. I'm going to set a goal of 20lbs for the whole month of december since my post-op diet is SUPER strict. broth and 3 protein shakes for 30 days after my surgery then finally full liquids and mushies for another 30 days!
