  1. I had my 2nd fill done this afternoon with Dr. Mathew St.Laurent from north Houston. Very professional, courteous with excellent hands for my fill. IMO. I was very nervous since this fill was being done without floursocopy but alas he soothed those uneasy feelings and before I knew it.......done! Great guy....super. Thought I would share that with all.
  2. Exciting news! Your hard work and dedication will pay off nicely.
  3. MelAnne, chin up. Sometimes I feel like my two boys (8-9yrs old) who ask on every trip whether out of town or down the road, "Are we there yet?" I laugh at myself. At my age asking the same question. Hang in there with us. Things will change with some patience and perserverance.
  4. I had my first fill about 2 1/2 wks ago and have lost now 4 lbs. I did feel the restricition right away. I still feel it. I am ble to eat less then prior to the fill.
  5. I have learned that there are foods that will just not feel well going down. No matter how well I chew and how slow I eat, red meat and bread is not for me. I given those up for good!
  6. Oh, don't let the band become your enemy. Need to treat your band like you want to be treated.......with kindness. Do be careful. Avoid the foods that just don't agree with you and your band.
  7. Dawn, glad to hear you ar coming along. Yes, things get better each day but take care on your trip home.
  8. Rae, I bet it will work out well for you.
  9. My dietician did bring that up and only said be sure to chew well once I introduced that into diet. I have eaten salad and have tolerated it well.
  10. Sound like your journey is going well and you are in good hands with hubby soon to be partner in yet another aspect. Good News all around!
  11. Indeed, you may want to contact your doc's office to check. It appears that each doc is different and instructions on this matter vary doc to doc. I remember reading a thread like that earlier today called to drink or eat after first fill......something like that. It touched on this subject.
  12. I feel safe taking it all day by day. I enjoy seeing the changes on a daily basis. I feel safe knowing I am on my way and I will get there when I get there. Right now, I cannot explain more than what I feel. Maybe that will change but we will see. Good questions, Susan. Thanks
  13. Happy for you! Do show us pic's soon. Hope to be in Onderland soon.
  14. Glad to hear the good news and Congrats!
  15. This is a great thread you all! I will look for the book.
  16. I had a light breakfast at 6am the day of my fill. I had the fill done at noon time. I was asked to stay on liquid diet for the remainder of the day.
  17. iteLnTx replied to TheWomanWithin's topic in The Lounge
Sopranos and Nip/Tuck for me, thanks.
  18. I would like to share this website with you all. Something I feel is worth sharing if anyone may decide to use it in the future. http://www.dressforsuccess.org/ I donated all my professional attire to them.
  19. EEEEK! Hope you start feeling better.
  20. WalleyeK, have you been in contact with Dr.Rumbaut staff about this issue? Contact his team via email and I bet you get a response as to who you can visit with for fills in your area.
  21. BTW, up on the top left corner of options is "user CP" option. If you click this option then go to "Edit signture" on your control panel, you can add some info about yourself that will show for every post you make.
  22. Good Day Liza!!! I did not drive there as of yet. For my surgery I used AVIACSA airlines and most recently used Continental airlines due to flexibility in flight schedule. If I choose to fly again to Monterrey will most likely use Continental.
  23. :hail: .......Penni, you go girl, well done!!!!
  24. I tried cereal with a bit of milk two days ago for breakfast and did not do well. I kept burping repeatedly the entire time and so I think I have written that off my list.
  25. Sure doesn't sound like much food. How many calories are you actually consuming? You know you can add protien shakes with little or no carbs in between meals to help not only curb your hunger but helps add to your protien intake.
