Sorry, hubby and I were over getting one of the gay neighbors drunk on our leftover mojitos. They, in turn, fixed us pork loin, corn on the cob, green onions (all done on the grill) and some fantastic potatoes. YUM!

They can't even run "Cash for Clunkers" -- yet they want to handle your healthcare
You know what would make us more energy independent? Actually BECOMING energy independent!! Why are the pinheads on Capitol Hill against us drilling our own oil?? Not only would WE then be able to set our OWN price, we wouldn't be funding terrorists who hate us AND we would be putting Americans to work! But somehow, that's a stupid plan to too many because heaven help us if we upset the spotted three-legged long-snouted Alaskan caribou. You know what would have helped the American auto industry? For the government to have stayed the hell out of it, let them restructure and rid themselves of the unions who dictate and run up the price of American autos, and for the government to quit demanding that they put out shit products that people not only don't want to buy but CAN'T AFFORD because of all the government specs put on them! Since the government took over, how successfully has the industry turned around? The government can't even run a food kitchen much less the auto industry. If you can't see yet how inept they are at it, give it time. ROTFLMAO!! How many military have YOU talked to? I have talked to plenty, besides seeing interviews on television and the internet, and they would beg to differ with you. ESPECIALLY if one is a vet. Walter Reed Hospital ring a bell? Trust me, that's just one of MANY. Says this survey which I think carries more weight than your anecdotal "survey". Meeting Enrollees' Needs: How Do Medicare and Employer Coverage Stack Up? - The Commonwealth Fund Whether or not the users like it is inconsequential. The fact is, many doctors will not accept Medicare because it takes them forever to get paid -- and when they DO get paid, they don't even get enough to break even. Many times they don't even make that much. And frankly, if the government would get the hell out of the way and quit dictating what insurance companies can and can't do, the insurance companies could combine efforts and save us all a hell of a lot more money. But as it is, they can't do that.

This is exactly what I'm railing against. If this doesn't scare the shit out of you, nothing will: The Cash for Clunkers website, if you use it, allows the government to tap into your computer. I'd love to hear from the Patriot Act haters.

NO, I also complained about using MY tax dollars -- yet AGAIN -- to help people purchase new cars. So... not only are we subsidizing the car industry via bailouts and/or outright takeovers, we are subsidizing them (and individuals) by giving them tax dollars to buy new cars which are predetermined by the government. Excuse me, but whatever happened to free will and being able to buy whatever the hell I want? This is just the tip of the iceburg.

Meh, used to be able to do much more when I was heavier. Went out with a group one night and did 13 drinks total and could still walk a fairly straight line. Seven of those were Long Island Iced Teas. I get much drunker much quicker these days after a few, so even five was pretty impressive. Granted, we started around 7:00ish and quit drinking sometime after 3:00. Even walked the neighborhood twice during that time. Was out like a light, though. Won't EVEN admit how many Xanex... I'm not like this (neither is hubby), but I think I needed it. If that makes sense. I've been in a humongous funk for over a week now and I've never been a party girl, so...

Morning everybody. Yes, morning. DH and I decided to recreate our mojito party from Friday night and ended up having five of them. Didn't go to bed until about 4:00 or so and woke up at 1:45 this afternoon. Don't know if the Xanax we took along with the mojitos had anything to do with it. :scared2: Went for a store run about 9:30 (before drinking got going too far) and got fixins for queso and chips, and I also got salsa for me and my very favorite Ben and Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk. Now I have to not eat anything for probably the next three days. I was VERRRY bad. I'm STILL not awake and it's now 4:00. Holy blackout, Batman!

Scared. Please Read.
For me, pineapple juice has NEVER helped the food go down, but it DOES bring it back up. So long as it dislodges, I guess this is a good thing, but so far I have never been lucky enough to have pineapple juice allow the food to go down.

Frankly I have no idea why MY tax dollars are going to pay for somebody else to get a car. Um, no, they're all about trying via this maneuver to dictate what types of cars we will be allowed to drive. Why do you think the government now OWNS much of the auto industry?? That's a very simple way of putting it. If ALL they were going to do was do chest x-rays, I MIGHT trust them not to screw it up. MIGHT. And I don't trust them to run the military, they simply have the job. I certainly have seen how they've SCREWED the military who came home and needed care. Just ask one. Illegals are treated with more dignity. Says WHO?? I have yet to talk to ANYbody -- user or doctor -- who even LIKES Medicare, much less loves it!

I was drunk posting so bad last night I had to go back today to be sure that I didn't say or do something I'd regret. Like promise myself in marriage to some Sheik or something. I didn't even wake up until 12:40 this AFTERNOON! And hubby wants to do it again tonight.

And: Original ad: litter of 6 kittens up for adoption! they are all 3 weeks old and are looking for a good home. contact if interested. From Mike Hunt to *********@***********.org Hi, I am interested in taking all six kittens off of your hands. How much do you want for them? Mike From Shannon ******* to Me Mike, Are you going to take care of all of these kittens? I want to make sure they all find a good home, and was expecting to sell them one at a time. Are you able to house all six of them? From Mike Hunt to Shannon ******* Shannon, To be honest, I own a pet Bengal Tiger and he is on a strict diet of cats. I usually feed him one cat every couple of days, so this litter should hold him over for a while. Don't worry though, I'll take good care of the kittens until I feed them to him. Mike From Shannon ******* to Me That is horrible! You will not get a single kitten from me. I really hope you are not serious. From Mike Hunt to Shannon ******* Shannon, I was kidding. I seriously need all six kittens though. Disregard anything I said about a tiger. From Shannon ******* to Me NO.

He does good on the car ones. Here's another: Original ad: i am 17 years old and looking to buy my first car! if you have a good, cheap and reliable car for a student please let me know. thank you! From Mike Anderson to ***********@*******.org Hey there! I saw your ad and have a great car for a young driver such as yourself. I am selling my beautiful 1992 Toyota Camry. This car is almost perfect. 148,342 miles on it. I need to go to Wawa tomorrow, so that mileage might change. I'm estimating it will be somewhere around 148,347 miles. If this is a problem, let me know and I will ride my bike to Wawa. The car has a few MINOR problems but nothing too bad: - The ashtray is stuck shut from when I accidentally spilled a beer on it. I think there is like $2 in change in there, so if you can open the ashtray, it's all yours. - Due to a bad trip in Philly, I no longer have a radio. I run an old boom box through the cigarette lighter, however, and it sounds great. It is a 1986 Sony Cassette player. I'll throw in a Raffi cassette tape for an extra $10. The tape is Raffi in Concert with the Rise & Shine Band, and is an excellent album. - The glovebox is locked and I lost the key to it, so it won't open. Unfortunately there was a tuna sandwich locked in there, and you can smell it in the car. It isn't that bad if you light some incense. I dropped a few sticks of incense between the seats, you can have them if you find em. - The hood latch is broken and the hood will occasionally fly up and hit the windshield while driving. The windshield is currently cracked from the last time this happened, but the crack isn't that bad. In fact, it helps air out the stench of the tuna. - Needs new front and rear brakes. The ones on there don't really stop, but if you give the emergency brake a good tug it should take care of everything. - There is a hornets nest somewhere under the hood. I have no idea where. Occasionally a hornet will blow in through the air conditioning vent, but I will include a fly swatter above the visor. - There is some blood on the passenger seat and all over the side of the door. If you are ever pulled over and the police ask about it, just tell them the previous owner hit a deer. Don't say who I am though. - I bought the car from someone who replaced the original horn with a freight train horn. It is really loud and I don't recommend using it, I have caused several accidents with it. Besides these problems, this is a great starter car for any young driver! I actually call it the "ladies mobile" because the chicks dig it. I am asking $6000 for it, but am willing to negotiate. Thanks, Mike From joey ******* to Me hey thanks for the offer! $6000 sounds like a little much for that car. my dad only gave me a $4000 budget, would you be willing to take that? From Mike Anderson to joey ******** Son, you obviously have no experience in buying vehicles. When I said I was willing to negotiate, I meant I was willing to take more money for the car if you wanted to give it to me. Minimum is $6,000. Talk to your dad, and he will tell you that this car is a once-in-a-lifetime deal. He'll be pissed if he saw that you passed this up. Mike From joey ******* to Me What the hell is wrong with you? That car is a piece of s***! Stop e-mailing my son, you moron.

Okay, I was laughing my ever lovin' butt off at the site I posted earlier. Obviously this guy finds ads on places like Craigslist and jacks them around. Some of it is freakin' hilarious! This one had me laughing until I was crying: Original ad: **********HEY YOU THERE*************-$1500 HELLO I AM LOOKING FOR A FORD EXPLORER!I NEED A TRUCK SO IF YOU ARE SELLING YOURS AND IT HAS NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER THEN LET ME KNOW. I'M A SINGLE MOTHER OF 3 BEAUTIFUL GIRLS AND WE NEED A WAY TO GET AROUND WHERE NO BODY WILL BE ALL CRAMPED UP AND A EXPLORER WILL DO US JUST FINE. I'M LOOKING TO BUY AROUND THE END OF OCTOBER IF YOU HAVE ONE THAT YOU WANT TO SELL THEN GET AT ME A.S.AP. (the ad also had a picture of her posing for the camera, like that is necessary for an "auto wanted" ad) Me to SHANIQUA *********** Hey there! I saw your ad and I think I have the perfect car for you. I am selling my 2001 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition. It is a great car and I hate to see it go, but I need the money to pay off my 2nd DUI fines. Only 72,000 miles! Here are the features: - CD Player - Intact windshield - Rear tires - Spare tire - New windshield wipers - Beautiful white exterior paint - Cloth interior It was in a very MINOR fender bender, however, and will need a few repairs. As you can see from the picture, you may need to replace the passenger-side mirror and headlights in order for the car to pass PA inspection. I took it to a mechanic, and he said that the mirror is fixable. I was selling the car for $1800, but due to these minor issues, I will drop the price to $1750. Thanks, Ryan Jackson Attachment: SHANIQUA *********** to Me Hi I'm sorry I can't afford to buy your truckit looks really nice and I would love to be behind the wheel of it but I can't afford it.My budget will only allow for me to spend 1500 sorry (she obviously didn't realize there was a picture) Me to SHANIQUA *********** tell you what, I'll bump the price down to 1500, but I get to keep the CD player and the passenger seat. and I will clear all of the change out of my ashtray. this car is a great deal. I've included a picture, check it out and please reconsider! SHANIQUA *********** to Me WHY WOULD I BUT A PIECE OF JUNK WHY FOR WHAT YOU BETTA BET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They can't even run "Cash for Clunkers" -- yet they want to handle your healthcare
Government Suspends 'Clunkers' Program At Current Rate, Giving Out $3,500 Or $4,500 Per Vehicle Would Burn Through $1 Billion Allocated In No Time "Cash for Clunkers" came to a screeching halt Thursday, after only six days on the road. In a shocker, the government announced it would suspend the program at midnight because demand was too great. It may have been the best $1 billion the government has spent so far this year. Business was humming at Crestmont Toyota/Volkswagen Thursday night as salespeople rushed back to work on news that the government's "Cash for Clunkers" program was being suspended. It's the deal where you get up to $4,500 for your older low mileage beast if you buy a new car with more efficient fuel consumption. On Thursday night we learned the program was only good until midnight, all because of a backlog of red tape. So the salespeople were trying to get their deals through the government's Web site. "People are loving it. It's wonderful. It's a great stimulus package," salesman Andy Beloff said. But when asked if the government was running the program well, Beloff said, "No. No." The dealership's lot had roughly 40 clunkers waiting to be shipped to the junkyard. Each one has already been replaced by a brand new lower mileage car. The program only started last Friday. It's a victim of its own success. But the money may be running out faster than anyone imagined. With almost 23,000 deals already processed and tens of thousands more in the pipeline, it's possible the $1 billion allocated for the program might have already run out and into the pockets of people like Christie Acosta, who knew a good deal when she saw one. "I had a 1987 Ford Explorer. We had it for a while and I was ready to get rid of it," Acosta said. For the economy it's good news, but the government's miscalculation has some a little nervous. "These are just the deals we have to submit tonight," Crestmont president Bill Strauss said while holding a stack of papers. He said the dealership has over $100,000 on the table. "If they can't administer a program like this, I'd be a little concerned about my health insurance," car salesman Rob Bojaryn said. The "Clunkers" program was being administered by the National Highway Safety Administration, which has seemed overwhelmed from the get-go. Some in Congress are expected to push for expansion of the $1 billion budget on Friday. If you have a "Clunkers" deal in the works, don't worry. The government said Thursday any transactions already made between dealers and consumers will be honored. Government Suspends Popular 'Clunkers' Program - wcbstv.com Yeah, where do I sign up for that healthcare? Idiots...
