  1. Absolutely amazing! Congratulations
  2. So, this is probably way more common than I think, it is just the first time I have experienced it ? Yesterday I was able to eat more than I normally do - probably around 700-800 calories, which is really good for me as I wasn't getting much more than 300-400 in the past few weeks. Today my restriction feels very high. I ate a few mouthfuls of peanuts and some light babybel as a snack, didn't sit well at all despite these things never giving me problems. I gave it a little bit of a break, around 1 hr, then had some of my sandwich I'd made (wholemeal bread, ham, cheese, salad etc), and could only manage a few bites. Then my heart was absolutely racing. I'm talking about 115 bpm just sitting down, and then I just had to sleep. At work. I feel better now since waking up, but I am scared to eat again right now ? Wtf was this ?
  3. Thank you so much! I am definitely a lot happier! Ughhh it's so awful. The pain & minimal bleeding from it just makes my absolute day ?
  4. Thank you! And god yeah I am over the moon I can stop taking it ? Though we shall see how my tummy deals with the Forceval haha! It feels like no time at all, but also such a long time too - it is very strange! And definitely, I feel a sense of loss for the old me, and how bad she felt all of the time. I am needing to take some more full body pictures & to do my measurements but I keep forgetting and getting distracted by Animal Crossing ?
  5. It is honestly the only downside for me at the moment, and I really hate it ? I was using Dulcoease (1 5ml spoonful in the evening) when it was really bad (blood with bowel movements), which seems to be starting again, so I shall have to just go back to what I was doing to heal!
  6. Thank you so much! It is strange isn't it - it does seem to be the same for most people in terms of where they lose weight first! How are you feeling 2 months in? Thank you!
  7. They should prescribe you the orodispersible tablets which you literally just pop in your mouth and suck on like a sweetie and it just dissolves...but into mush ? Not to put you off, as they are 100% completely necessary, but yeah...glad to be rid of them ? I wish it was pasta ? Thank you lovely!
  8. Heya! I personally would avoid it, just for a little while longer. Like you, in my early days post-op I got frustrated that the place was a mess, and the boyfriend was doing 0 to help that. I decided to do some housework and I really regretted it. The fatigue knocked me out, and I had cramping just from using a broom! Just take it slow ❤️
  9. Don't forget the classic 'cold-shoulder' tops and sequins that they love to force into plus-size 'fashion' ?
  10. You are doing amazingly, and I love hearing about your week & journey in general! Really sorry to hear about your partner's comments - they definitely don't realise how upsetting they can be. Though that is no excuse, and emotional intelligence can go a long way! I hope you are okay ❤️
  11. So today I am finally at 3 months post op. Here is what that means for me: I can stop taking lansoprazole...YESSSSSSS! I absolutely hate the taste of that thing and if I never have to take it again, it'll be too soon. I can start taking tablets again, meaning I can try my Forceval prescription vitamins. I have heard that these can make people feel quite nauseous, so I will wait an hour after eating in the evening to take it, rather than in the morning as I usually do. I am due for bloods to be taken via my GP, though I imagine I'll struggle to get an appointment! I just wanted to reflect on my journey so far, and where I am at now. It is weird how quickly this becomes your new normal. In the beginning with the gas pain, the extreme fatigue etc, I did wonder how I'd adjust, but here I am! I was shocked at how fast the weight dropped initially, and I know I will keep losing (hopefully) for a little while longer. I think we all go through this weird mindset of being overweight for such a while, and our bodies not responding as we had hoped to fad diets, or us punishing ourselves for 'not trying hard enough', that I truly wondered if the surgery would even work. And it has worked, and it will continue to do so! I am in the dreaded - but very expected - 3 month stall. My weight isn't really moving much, but I know that I just need to keep on with my normal eating and routine and it'll break eventually (thanks to reading all of the posts regarding this phenomenon ?) I can still get dizzy when I am exercising, and my strength at the gym has really decreased which I am a bit miffed about, but I'll get there! TMI incoming: but pooping is still an annoyance...the severe constipation I had in the early post-op weeks still results in some little tears when I pass a bowel movement, so I am dealing with my new normal ? Positives: I passed my driving test and I am picking up my car on Saturday! I really do attribute passing to losing weight, and how it has made me feel more confident and capable. I can walk around for hours and not have pain in my hips and lower back. Pre-surgery this was absolutely excruciating, even the 5-6 minute walk home from work I had to stop 2-3 times due to the pain and being out of breath. No such worries now! I can see the weight loss in my face, which makes me happy. I can fit into a pair of denim shorts that previously couldn't even make their way up my lower thigh! My current weight is amazing to me, even though I am not at my goal YET, I haven't been this weight since 2017. In general, I just feel happier in myself, and I can't wait for the future! If you have read all of this, thank you! ❤️
  12. Thank you! It is my first time having a micro-fringe but I wanted to be more daring haha!
  13. Thank you! I definitely feel a lot better already, and actually excited for the future!
  14. Hmm...my win is fitting into shorts that I bought last year that didn't even get on one thigh ? and now I can get them on, with some room around the tummy and waist! Added bonus win: the shorts are high-waisted denim, and I haven't worn denim in years and years because of my weight!
  15. I shall write them all out when I am at home tonight and private message you!
  16. Thank you so much everyone for your lovely comments on my first before & after! It is really nice to feel more confident and able to see that in myself. You are all beautiful people ❤️
  17. Welcome back! Oh wow that is so exciting! Congratulations on your loss so far, what an achievement I honestly hate to say that I am never shocked when I hear that women's health is not taken seriously - particularly reproductive health - it drives me insane, and I am sorry that you went through such a difficult time getting your diagnosis. Hopefully that new Dr sounds like a breath of fresh air and you will be able to work together to find what works for you!
  18. I completely empathise with that! I have PTSD and although it isn't exactly the same, you still get some of the same traits such as forgetfulness, inattentiveness, difficulty following several instructions etc. But with the right instructor who will work with her and build her confidence, she is more than capable, she just needs to believe in herself bless her!
  19. Thank you!! oooo I bet you will look lovely!!
  20. Almost 3 months post-op, and this is my face! March 2024, 20 stone 1lbs (281lbs) Literally just took this photo! Around 16 stone 7lbs (231 lbs)
  21. Thank you! I think it is just something that us bigger boobied ladies are going to have to come to terms with ? Though I also haven't worn a padded bra in years and years, so I can imagine how strange that must be for you! Definitely don't let it bother you lovely, weight is always going to fluctuate and you are still clearly doing all the right things Oh wow that is amazing! I hope you get some of the answers you are seeking - I know it is definitely something I will look into a year or 2 post-op!
  22. Thank you so much! Not offensive at all haha, even though I am 28 my mum still says the same things to me ? I appreciate it! Thank you! It has definitely been a long journey, but so worthwhile (and a little bit surreal right now) - I hope your daughter invests in it soon, as it is such a key thing to get done! What is holding her back?
  23. Ahh congratulations! I bet you are so happy! It is really amazing finally seeing it in yourself, and being able to track the progress. Really pleased for you ❤️ I have literally just re-joined the gym with a PT, and she's given me a really basic strength training programme to get me started - if you like, I can always send you my workouts so you have a place to start? Honestly amazing news for you all round, and I really have my fingers crossed for you for your anniversary dress! I know you'll smash your goals!
