  7. I had my band out 4 months ago. I went into revision surgery last Monday, I was pushing for a bypass, but woke up w a sleeve, my doc said because of the scar tissue it made most sense to put in the sleeve. He said my drainage tube would have to stay in three weeks. So I will be out of work for about a month. But I have never had a vacation
  8. Hi, My sleeve surgery was on Monday, I went into it not knowing if I was getting the bypass or sleeve. I had a lapband that failed so there was a lot of scar tissue
  9. I just came home today from the hospital. I had a revision from lap band to gastric sleeve. Thanks so much for the encouraging words!

  11. Yes it was outpatient, the port site was a pain, I took 2 days off from work
  12. Hi, I had the band removed about three months ago, my insurance made me wait at least three months between surgeries. I did not have to go through the same process but they did repeat some things like the nutrition class and psych evals. They did not require a wieght loss but asked that I maintain what I was at. My surgeron filed the paperwork and he asked for the gastric sleeve, he said depending on where the scar tissue is he would do either the sleeve or the bypass. It is the bypass that I want. So I have an appointment on June 18th to set the final details
  13. Hi I just had my band removed after 3.5 years. I initially lost 50 pounds then started having problems. Could you tell me about the medically supervised diet? How much were you supposed to lose?
  14. Sounds Great, I have been struggling with the Lap Band three and a half years, I did lose about 70 lbs from my highest weight, 300 down to 235, my doctors got all upset because I want a revision. I am going to be 55 yrs old any advice or experience you can share with me?
  15. Hi All I am seeing about having my lap band removed after 3 years of struggle. I did lose 70 pounds but have another 80 to go. I can only work a sedentary job because of arthritis. My bariatric doctors act like I am a failure and are trying to discourage me. I see on the media that other people are coming to the same conclutions and having their bands removed as well. I want to follow up with a gastric bypass, is there a forum for this? I would like to talk to other people who have gone through this
  16. Hi I was banded September 2008, while I lost 50 pounds, I have been stuck there Arthritis makes it difficult to work out and I have a sedentary job My obesity is a mental and emotional problem as well I count my blessings as I am rid of my diabetes now
  17. Hi I think I am in the same boat you were. I work at a hospital and lunch time is short and breaks dont' exist. When I work on the psych ward I cant' eat at all because of stress. But today I ate really slow and I ate a whole piece of salmon, something I formally was getting stuck on. Then I would be hungery alittle while later
