Cheesekitty7 got a reaction from summerseeker in Puking my guts out today :(I had my first episode of foamies today. I’m 3 weeks post op and I am cleared for soft foods. I had a scrambled egg and i think i ate a little too fast. I definitely felt it in my chest. The pressure and my runny nose was the cue that I probably ate too fast or I ate too much. Anyways I vomited the dreaded “foam/slime” and proceeded to vomit some of the eggs. Now I wonder when can I drink water ? I’m currently laying it out and trying to relax myself. Scared the sh*t out of me tho. -

about three years out (our clinic just required one year, though). But then, I don't drink a lot - maybe a glass or two of wine a month.

Cheesekitty7 reacted to Arabesque in Stalling after 12 days ?Yep, a stall. You’ll likely have a few more of them while you are losing too. They’re a natural & important part of your weight loss. It’s the time your body takes to reassess your current needs & your weight loss & readjusts things like digestive hormones & enzymes & metabolic rate. You don’t have to do anything except stick to your plan & let your body take the time it needs to recalibrate. They usually last 1-3 weeks. The stall will break when your body is ready. Unfortunately, they can be frustrating because your body doesn’t work to your timeline & needs.

Cheesekitty7 reacted to summerseeker in Sweeteners after gastric sleeveYou should always clear things that you are unsure about with your team. No team has the same pre op or post op diet regime.
Nothing was off my food list even real coffee, lucky me. Some people find that they react badly to some sweeteners, its a bit of a trial and error process. My husband is diabetic so I just use what he has
