  1. I had my last fill in June and have been doing good, great restriction but still able to eat small portions until 2.5 weeks ago. I am having a hard time keeping water down. I have not been able to keep clear broth or anything dow. Although the weight is coming off, I am worried that my band may slip if I keep bringing everything back up. No blood but I seem to slime a lot. Has anyone experience a tightening of their band after 3-4 months of doing great and not having another fill? I am so scared of erosion also. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
  2. Has anyone had any problems with Dr. Susan Brinkley in Frederick, Maryland? She does fills for folks banded in Mexico.
  3. Tyson Beckford in a heartbeat, just do not like the lips!
  4. I was banded by Dr. Sanchez also on 2/16/06. His team is wonderful. Janet is very caring and very sincere. I would highly reccommend this team.
  5. I am able to eat some fish with no problem at all. I am fine with Red Snapper but choke on salmon.
  6. I started at a size 16 and is now comfortable in a 14. I would be on cloud 9 when I can get back in a 8!
  7. Kelli, you look absolutely wonderful. Congratulations, thanks for giving me hope!
  8. ConnieA0278, what was your experience with Dr. Brody? I talked with his office regarding a fill and was a bit nervous that he only charges $80 per fill. Although that is a great price, I also know that inexpensive does not mean good at times. Is he aggressive with his fills?
  9. Congrats Stocky, I am so happy for you. This is the first time I am posting. Have sent an email to Teresa who was extremely halpful. I was banded on 2/16/06 and will be getting my first fill on Wednesday (thanks Teresa for the name of the fill doctor).
  10. Makes a lot of sense. Thanks a bunch.
  11. Does anyone know of a doctor in Maryland that will do my fill at a reasonable charge? I was banded in Monterrey Mexico and is trying not to have to go back there for my first fill. I taked with one doctor's office today and they are charging $650 and the fill is not done under fluoroscopy. Is it necessary to have the first fill done with fluroroscopy and what is the average cost of a fill in the US?
  12. What is the reason for not drinking with a straw? I have been doing this since I had my surgery on 2/16/2006. :help:
  13. As soon as I woke up from my surgery, they had me start with my walking. I have not experienced any gas pains at all. Try walking, I know it works. Good luck.
