  1. Hi Froggi, New stats: Date Weighed 13 December Weight - 264.4 Thanks for keeping records
  2. Hi Froggi, Good luck. You'll be fine. On a side note, do you think we could add a column to the spreadsheet that shows amount of loss to date. I'm interested to see how much everyone has lost and I'm too lazy to look at the starting and current dates and work out the difference. If its too much trouble, not too worry, I'll make do.
  3. Thanks Cappy, Getting better with every day. Was a little bad this morning at morning tea at work and had a party sausage roll. Chewed and chewed and had no problems with it going down. Back to soup for lunch though. Have to wait until next Tuesday before I can introduce harder foods.
  4. Froggi, could you please repost the link to the spreadsheet. My computer has had a 'crap' and I can't find it now. Thanks
  5. Hey Damo, Just checking in on you. Hoping your feeling better.
  6. Hi everyone, Best of luck to everyone being banded soon and congrats to those already banded. I was banded on 4th November and was one of the lucky ones to have virtually no pain and a quick recovery. My port scar is nearly completely healed and apart from getting a bit itchy causes me no problems at all. From the time I got out of recovery I have only had a few asprin and haven't had any pain meds at all. I started mushies on the weekend and what a pleasure it was to have some 'real food' - if you can call it that as it was put through a blender. I had to do a 2 week preop diet and lost 10pds. Went back to the dietician on the weekend and have lost another 10.5pds since surgery. I am still not feeling hungry and am just eating at the required times. My dietician tells me I should start feeling hungry again around week 4. Once again, good luck to everyone being banded and I wish you all a speedy and painless recovery.
  7. Hi Froggi Please update my details Surgery Weight - 279.9 Today's Weight - 269.4 Thanks
  8. Damo, hope your feeling a bit better today. I guess with each passing day you SHOULD start to get better. My op was 4th November and I guess I was one of the lucky ones - all I've ever had is pain at the port site which is now almost all gone. Started mushies on the weekend - only 10 days until some real food. Feel better soon - SIP, SIP SIP and you'll be fine.
  9. I had trouble with this to. In the end I cut and pasted the full html code into the signature area and hit preview signature and it worked. Try this and let me know if it works for you too.
  10. My surgery was 4th November and like SunnyOne I ended up with the flu as well. Lots of coughing which didn't do my healing stomach any good. First day back at work today. Start mushies on the weekend, thankfully, I'm sick of drinking. Feeling good though with no pain at all - only port wound to heal.
  11. Band date tomorrow. Feeling a bit numb about it all now but I am sure nerves will kick in tomorrow driving to the hospital. Will let you know how I came through in a couple of days.
  12. Surgery date - 4 November 2008 Highest Weight - 289.5 Preop diet starting weight - 289.5 Surgery weight (Your weight the day of surgery) Current weight - 284.7 Goal weight - 160
  13. Nooooo!!!!! Is this common and everyone just forgot to mention it?
  14. Thanks. I'm getting a bit nervous. Only 4 more sleeps. Hope you have a speedy recovery with minimal pain. I'll keep an eye out for your posts on how you're traveling.
  15. I'm with you guys, the Optifast is disgusting. My dietician told me I could add an essence to it because I was gagging trying to get it down. I found a strawberry essence and have been using this. They still taste disgusting but it helps. I also use a blender and not just a shaker so its more smooth and have with ice to make it really cold. My surgery is November 4 - not long to go now.
  16. Well done, that is awesome. Keep it up. What an excellent start. I only lost 2.2kg in the first week. I am in week 2 and hating the Optifast. I have had to put Strawberry essence in mine (on dietician's direction) because I was gagging on them. My surgery in next Tuesday with Dr Copp at Ipswich. The dietician said I can use Tony Ferguson shakes post-op - they taste much better, although a little more carbs.
  17. Hi Tina, My name is Tina too. I am 35 and in Australia. I am being banded on 4th November. I am also very excited. Hope all goes well for you. Keep posting so I can track your progress.
  18. All the best for your surgery. Having people like you post your stories (good and bad) is a wealth of knowledge. I am just about to start my journey - being banded on 4 November. Wishing you a quick and painless recovery.
  19. Hi everyone. My name is Tina, I am 35 and live in Australia. I have been overweight most of my adult life. After trying every diet on the market and losing some and then putting it plus some of its mates back on I made the decision to be banded. My surgery is 4th November.
  20. I am on a low carb diet consisting of 2 vanilla Optifast shakes a day (let me tell you I can't stand these things and gag everytime I have one), plus Protein and free veges for night time meal. I can have cheese and/or ham and any free veges if I'm too hungry between shakes/meal. No dairy at all (other than cheese) which is killing me. Surgery is 4th Novemer so thankfully not too may more shakes.
  21. Hi Keri. I am 35, married, no children. My surgery date is 4th November (just under 2 weeks). I live in Australia. Starting to get a little nervous, but excited as well. Good luck to you.
  22. Congratulations!!!! Are you on any sort of pre-op diet? My surgery date is 4 November (Australia). I have started a 2 week Optifast (Vanilla shake only) diet. Tastes like crap.
  23. Good luck with it. I have to take vanilla Optifast twice daily with protein and veges for night time meal. I can have small amounts of cheese and/or ham to get me through the hunger pains if required.
  24. I'm being banded on Nov 4th. Day 2 of Optifast pre-op diet which tastes like crap. Gonna be a long 2 weeks.
  25. Thanks saleel22. I've set mysef a little goal of losing 40 first. I'm sure my goal weight will be a further 30 or so though.
