  1. in case anyone wondered my body is still doing crazy things. I have been yo-yoing between 185-188 since march 20th now. Its like the stall that will never end
  2. So I don't use sugar in anything. I dont drink coffee, all of my sugar literally comes from greek yogurt, fairlife milk, ect. I don't use sugar. I just wish I could figure out what food to add because she thinks my body is in starvation and thats why I need to bump them
  3. im six months PO and it started in january, it is starting to resolve and happen less often now. but I don't know if its because I have focused on upping my fluid intake or if its because its just naturally resolving
  4. hello - I have been stalled since 3/23. My dietician wants me to up my calories. I am currently getting between 800-100 and she wants me at 1200-1500 a day. I have no idea how to add in another 300+/- calories that are not junk food. I eat 5x a day, plus one shake. I keep my carbs under 75 a day (under 20 per meal), fat under 60 (under 10 per meal), and sugar less than 25 for whole day, and avoid unneeded sugar (eg, sugar in milk or yogurt okay, but not sugar in skittles) I also get well over 100 g of protien a day. I am not working out because I am having positional lightheadedness, where my vision whites out when I go from sitting to standing randomly. I am getting 80+ ounces of fluid a day. yesterdays food: pure protien bar protien shake greek yogurt tuna (bumble bee quick catch, had tuna and pasta) a fake sushi roll (avocado carrots butter lettuce crab meat and lobster chucks wrapped in a rice paper) grilled ribs without sauce + lima beans. todays meal plan: quest cheddar crisps protien shake yogurt legendary pop tart artisan traders 2 egg omlet cups ribs and lima beans my restriction is still super strong, and i can barely get half a cup in per meal/. 6 months out from surgery. bouncing between 184-188 since 3/23
  5. i use either built bars or pure protien bars. i get built bars from sams bc they are expensive, and i get boxes of pure protien at walmart or singles from gas stations and most regular grocery stores. I also have gotten quest from convenience stores in a pinch
  6. my plan allows for us to take flintstone childrens chewables, do they sell those in the down under?
  7. fingers crossed for you! not that I would ever wish that someone would find something medical wrong with them, i will say that the EGD is what did it for me. I wanted to do sleeve, but I showed silent reflux and ulcers from it on my EGD so def would have had more GERD after. Now that I am almost six months out from RNY I am super happy with my choice.
  8. right, i do it with a fruit for breakfast bc its the easiest thing and with having half it makes sense to have it with the fruit. if i could just eat a whole and thne move the fruit to another meal that would be great
  9. right. im more likely to dump from fat than sugar or carbs. and my frustration today was over a built bar.. which is under 20 carbs, low fat, low sugar, 17 of protien..
  10. they also do all things in moderation except caffiene and carbonation. but they seem to harp so hard on dumping (which i think is ridiculous considering it only happens to like 1 in 25 people) so i was wondering if it could be to prevent dumping from carbs
  11. where are you finding decaf cold brew???? But, most people mix cold brew with a protien shake. I do hot decaf coffee with a collegen creamer. but dont mix collagen in cold it doesnt blend well
  12. no i dont go back till april and im getting really annoyed with this half a bar thing lol
  13. oh it sounds like you had to do optifast too!
  14. yeah so we don't have to have protien bars, but if we do we can only have half at a time, and a max of one total bar per day. Everyone I see that eats a bar, eats a whole bar as a meal, which we can't do. which is mind blowing to me
  15. Our surgeons office requires for everyone, regardless of sleeve or bypass, that you only consume half of a protein bar per meal, and a total of one bar max per day. I haven't seen anyone else have that requirement.. is my office the lone wolf on this?
  16. As I am losing weight, my office chair at work is rather painful. I got an egg crate cushion but it hasn't helped much. What are you using??
  17. yes! our last class before surgery is when they told us the position you feel being full in will change to being in your chest. for me it was like right behind my sternum def slow down on taking bites, i know thats my hardest part too!!
  18. im almost 6 months out and my hair just started thinning now. I take bioten daily and collegen a few times a week (when I remember it) Talk to your hair stylist, and I would avoid dying your hair for atleast 6 months if not a year after surgery to give it time to do its thing.
  19. Is your 52 down from your first appt? from highest weight? from surgery day? There are a lot of different ways to look at this.. My highest weight was 280. My preop weight was 272. My surgery day I was 256. Today at exactly 4 months, I am 200.5. So down 79 lbs from my heighest weight / first bariatric appt last april, lost 8 on my own before preop started labor day weekend. We did a 4 week preop, during which I lost 16 lbs. Since surgery, I am down 56. But also, I did bypass and I am extremely strict on my plan.
  20. I am making a list to auto order monthly with sams. I have protien shakes, protien bars, tuna packs, zero sugar lemonade, zero sugar vitamin water, mini bell peppers, and pulled chicken. What else do you get monthly?
  21. Hello I am 8 weeks out from RNY, but I feel this is relevant to all of our journeys.. My husband asked me what can he put in my stocking for christmas this year as candy is off limits. I suggested he can get a couple of sugar free candies but asked he send me the nutrition labels before buying... i have seen a lot of people mention chapstick but I honestly keep up with mine and don't need a ton of chapstick. i bought myself resistance bands last week and I am thinking about giving them to him to let him put them in. For his stocking he has a level ruler pencil thing, heated motorcyle gloves, and candy. Our son has a new tervis water bottle that snaps sealed, candy, and some bath stuff.
  22. look for a plastic surgeons office that also offers esthetic services. maybe a high retinol cream will help!
  23. So I read all the comments and I just want to reiterate, I do track, religiously. I didn't weigh all weekend, we were out of town for our anniversary, but when I weighed this morning I was down 2 lbs from friday morning... and I was shocked because I ate off plan this weekend (still had the portions, just tried things I haven't had yet, like bread, grits, mashed potatoes..) I looked online and the google says that sometimes it helps when your body hits a plateua to shake things up by either upping carbs or fat for a few days to get it going, so maybe its what it needed?
  24. I religiously track, i get between 600-900 calories a day depending on what I meal prepped + if i have 4 or 5 meals. my dietician told me i was being dramatic XD
  25. I would ask your doctor if taking it right when the thirty minutes after eating is up. i feel like the thirty minute window should be plenty close enough for it to still count as being close to when you ate. but im not a medical professional
