  1. I know, or at least I think I know, that most of the weight is water, but I cautiously stepped on the scale this morning and I am 283. TWO EIGHTY THREE!!!!! I stepped off, turned it off, turned it back on, got back on, 283! It cant be that I am dehydrated, (TMI) my pee is light yellow. I guess all that shopping is working.
  2. Several years ago, I lost quite a bit in a flood. When we get together next, I will bring some stuff. I remember what people did for me when I had lost so much.
  3. I had it the first few days, then I finally took "The Best Me". aka Kathy's advice and got some Aloe Vera juice. It bound it up enough to be soft, but not loose. yuk. I was tired of the bowl blasting.
  4. I have a desk job, but I am taking two weeks. Mainly because I know once I sit in the chair at my desk, I wont have time to get up and move around like I can here. Plus, sometimes I can smell people's food that they are fixing in the microwave and its soo rank it makes me gag. I have NO clue what some people bring to eat
  5. Ive been getting the broth in a box, actually its chicken stock in a box. I found the chicken stock tastes much better, has more of a veggie aftertaste. And since its in a box container thing, there is none of that metal aftertaste.
  6. Well I totally over did it today. I slept til 11am, and woke up just starving. But instead of downing a protien shake first, i was an idiot and took a hot shower. So, since then, i've been dizzy on and off. DUH DUH DUH. Then I went shopping from 1-4. So now I am sore and dizzy. Im a goober. But now my tush is glued to the couch. Oh and how long was it before you guys migrated from the reclyner to the bed?
  7. I dont consider having sent my daughter to day care as dumping. I will admit that I felt really guilty. But now I know how much she has learned socially and academically, I could never homeschool a child. Its not me, not my bag. I am not good at teaching anyone, I have no patience. Just find a daycare with a good teaching program, the baby will be ok.
  8. Walking, Ihave down. (walk in Target, walk in Rooms to go, walk in Wally world.) And i am sip sip sipping away. thanks you guys for thinking of me
  9. Well, I had to walk, and I was only going to do it in the A/C. Hubby did the sweetest thing for me this morning. He washed my hair in the sink for me. So I did to go to Wally World today, since I dont stink anymore. Tomorrow I get to take the bandages off and let soapy water run over them. Do you know if it will sting?
  10. Have you called the Dr, Libra? Mine gave me some anti nausea meds, an ear patch and a phenegrin suppository. I havent had to use the phenegrin suppository, THANK GOD. But the eat patch is keeping me from being nausiated. I am not feeling hungry, but i am making my self drink protien shakes and the occasional broth or creamy soup with no chunks of stuff. If I drink too fast I feel uncomfortable, but otherwise, Im doing ok.
  11. I wouldnt mix wine with painkillers. Could make you nauseous. I'd wait until you got to the mushy stage, so you have solid food to try to absorb alcohol. Plus, its awfully loaded with calories, and can make you retain water.
  12. Hey Ya'll!!!! Sorry I didnt post yesterday, but hubby is bound and determine to make sure I get my prescribed 25 min of walking 2x a day. So when I was dischared at 11:00am yesterday, we went to Rooms to go outlet to find new chairs for our new table. (found new table at ValuCity for 100) Its a bar height table, so I had to find taller chairs. Then when we got the chairs, I came home, took a nap, then we went out again, this time to Target and got chewable Centrum, orange flavored. Which aren't bad. Reminds me of orange Flintstone's vitamins. I want to go to Wally world today to find aloe vera juice. I forgot to get some the other day. But, I dont know if I will go out. On the orders that Dr B left with the nurse said I cant take a shower till tomorrow. I feel sooooooo nasty. I could have sworn when I was still good and stoned on morphine, which I HATE HATE HATE, he said I could shower today. I will never do Morphine again. IT made me soooooo dizzy.
  13. I'll fill the kid void, I'll bring Kirsten with me.
  14. Good God, thats more than my house payment
  15. We can do it Melissa, call me and you can let yourself be "re-energized" by the new banded kid on the block
  16. My daughter starts Prek at the magnet school on Sept 6th. I'm happy that we dont have to pay daycare to the tune of $650 a month, but sad that she is starting "big school" I guess I'll never be satisfied.
  17. Wooohooo! I am in band land! The only incision that hurts me is the top one, that is where Dr B did most of the "digging" around and put the port. I havent taken a pain pill today, I may see about just dropping the prescription pain and going to liquid tylenol How's everyone else doing?
  18. im off to the hospital. Melissa, you are on kirk's list of people to call. :0
  19. Thank you for your support ya'll!!!! Luv ya guys!!!! Talk at ya after the big event tomorrow.
  20. Is it just the 3 of us tomorrow? Bug, Libra and I for the big band day? Im am sooo nervous about surgery.
  21. HOOOORRRAYYYY!!!! You go girl!
  22. I wanna be sedated NOW Lapband surgery tomorrow at 12 Right the freak now. I am soooo nervous. I freaked out on my husband last night. I cry at the drop of the hat. ARRRGGGGGGH!!!! I wish Dr B would have given me a xanax
  23. I told EVERYONE. From my boss's boss, to people that i worked with 6 years ago. A guy I worked with had the band about 2 yrs ago, and has lost 160 lbs. He told me when he went in for the surgery, and yes, I asked him lots of questions and watched him like a hawk. BUT I was thankful he told me what he was doing and why. Otherwise, I would have never known about the Lapband. I am a guinea pig for another woman I work with, and honestly, I dont mind. But, thats me.
  24. My Dr's rules were, dont gain any weight from his initial consultation to the last pre-surgery office visit. That would typically be 2 weeks out from the surgery date. I did gain 5 lbs, but since I didnt want to know what would happen, I joined the "soup train" lost 6 lbs before the pre-op office visit, I didnt have to do any diets. And I specifically asked at that visit, Do I need to do a pre surgery diet?" I think its just dependant on the surgeon.
