  1. I cheated but got right back on the bandwagon. Just remember that this is one hurdle in the race to becoming a thinner and healthier you.
  2. Great job. I am close to my goal as well but will probably take me about 6 months to achieve.
  3. I did not feel restriction until after my 3rd fill. However, it also depends on how many cc's you are getting at each visit.
  4. I am having the same problem as well. I got a filled on yesterday and am having problems with keeping liquids down. I am going to give it another day or two and if it does not subside then I am going to have a slight unfill.
  5. I took a teaspoon of vinegar for the gas. It worked!
  6. I have had problems with reflux. Banded - September 4, 2008 Reflux - Yes Gallbladder - not removed Prevention - try not to allow your fills to be too tight. Do not lie down immediately after eating.
  7. He is the doctor that performed my surgery. He and his staff were awesome!
  8. I cannot eat bread or boiled eggs. I am able to eat about a cup of food at the most of anything.
  9. Although it is hard to be patient at a time that is so crucial, that is all that you can try to do. Stay positive and continue to focus on everything that you have learned to keep the weight off during your approval period. Good luck.
  10. I am currently at my sweet spot as well. I had 7.1cc in a 10cc band on 1-2-09 but had to go back and have 2cc removed because I was unable to hold anything on my stomach. Now, I am able to eat 3/4 cups of food per serving.
  11. Restriction is something that we all look forward to but it is not easy to deal with. This is where all the discipline (chewing each bite slowly) comes in. I got a fill on 1-2-09 and was back in the office to have .2 cc removed because I could not keep anything down. Make sure that you are able to eat at least 3/4 cup of food so that you can get the required protein and nutrients for your body.
  12. Yes, I am cold as well. Sometimes I am unable to function because I am too cold to move. I was thinking more on the lines of anemia. Hopefully not but if you don't have the blood supply to warm the body then that may be a dead give away.
  13. I have a 10 cc band and have 6.8 cc. I feel restriction most of the times. I am able to eat descent sized meals every other day. Sometimes, I have difficulty getting the food down depending on what I have previously eaten. I have lost about 8 pounds since my last fill.
  14. Hello, this is my first time posting. I was approved to be banded on September 4, 2008. I am so excited as I know that this is the first step to a better quality of life. :mad2:
