  1. Looking VERY good, Angie!!!!! Mimi
  2. As RM says, call your doc Monday and be gentle with your band as far as food intake. Not all slips are painful. Mimi
  3. Reby, I am sorry for what you are going through and I hope all the tests show that band rest will fix everything. Mimi
  4. Oh, Suzanne, I am so sorry this is happening. It really sucks. I wish I had something uplifting and positive to offer you but all I have are hugs and a tissue. Hang in there and let's hope it is just fluid shifts from something salty. I wish your foot would hurry up and heal, too. Very Best Wishes, Mimi
  5. AS, I will indeed post as the saga continues. Thank you for posting. Mimi
  6. Tchr, thank you for your suggestions and I will talk to them in 2 weeks when I go back. Living w/o the band terrifies me, I don't want to get fat again and I already gained 2 pounds but it was rehydration weight, not fat, but even so, seeing the scales go UP scared the poop out of me. I feel wonderful this morning and was able to drink my dear coffee the way I am used to. Surely a slipped band would be bothering me even after a band drain? Heck, I don't know, I just know I am praying like crazy for a good outcome. Thanks for your support, Mimi
  7. I am sorry for all of your trials and tribulations. I have recently gone through some problems with my band but the thought of being bandless terrifies me to the maximum. If you can afford to try again I think a properly working band is wonderful. Best wishes, Mimi
  8. The PS I went to said he would do TT and Breast Lift together but the arms at another time. He said it would be too much time under anesthesia to do all 3 at once. Mimi
  9. I do believe you are feeling your port. It is where the biggest scar is and would push out a little after eating a big meal. In addition you may be growing some scar tissue around it. I don't think it is anything to worry about. Mine is the size of a golf ball and about that firm, too!!!! Mimi
  10. Pre-op I found them on sale, went a little nuts and bought 140 cans. That was last October and I am just finishing them now, LOL. They are so handy and the taste is acceptable. I always take a can with me in case of hunger crisis, just pop and drink. Mimi
  11. Laura, you are a good patient!!! Will your binder hold up for that long, LOL?? Sorry about your eyeglasses but you got an extra 5 years w/o them. I hope your first day of work goes well. Mimi
  12. You have done so well!!!! Keep up the good work and congratulations!!!! Mimi
  13. Trust me, go for the small unfill. As RM said, you can get more put in at your next appt. After you get the unfill you will be much happier!!!! Mimi
  14. Thank you Ashleysara, that is very kind of you. There is one other doctor in town that does the band and I am going to check him out next week. Mimi
  15. I am happy you are doing better, G'wolf. Hang in there. Mimi
  16. Suzanne, hi. Semi bad news. I barfed all day again and finally gave in and went to the doc. I had an emergency Upper GI which shows (maybe) a band slip and the barium trickling througgh slightly. The docs in the practice will get together Monday and decide if it is a real slip or just mega swelling from a week of barfing. I asked about switching docs within the practice and the answer was NO!! A complete unfill (only 6 cc) was done and I felt immediate relief and sadness. If they decide it is not a slip they will check me in 2 weeks and give me back 5 cc. I know I should have gone in when I first started having trouble and am sorry I didn't. All I could hear in my mind was that dang doc saying "If we have to unfill you again we won't give you anymore, period." I wish he had kept his thoughts to himself!!!!! Thank you all for all of your support and caring words. Mimi
  17. Well, what is the verdict? Tell us, tell us!!!! Mimi
  18. Great explanation, RM, easy to picture and understand. Mimi
  19. Congratulation!!! Keep up the good work and keep posting. Mimi
  20. I, too, empathize with what you are going through as I am, too. I am building my PS account as fast as I can and hope scars look better than what I have going on. I actually think I looked better with plumped up fat than this deflated sack of skin!!!!! Gotta remember we are doing a GOOD thing by losing weight, LOL. Mimi
  21. Suzanne, I am not out of the woods yet. Yesterday I took 2 capsules of antidepressant meds and they plugged me up and shut me down. This morning I woke up and all was OK. I cut open the capsules and ate the contents with pudding instead of risking band pluggage. I did pretty good on Protein shakes and Crystal light til I tried the yummy V8 Campbells creamy squash soup. That apparantly was too thick, so after a couple of issues I am bck to clear liquids. I am slowly getting better, though, Thanks for asking. I do think liquid Motrin is helping, too, although I am only taking it twice a day and not on an empty stomach. Mimi
  22. Ashleysara, you are so right that I need to find a doc I am not afraid to go to. I am usually self assertive, I don't know why I can't speak up for myself in this case. Thanks. Mimi
  23. Erin, there are many reasons for nausea....that may be why no one has answered your question. I don't know that dehydration can cause nausea but nausea sure causes dehydration. Mimi
  24. Won't Tricare have a list? Call them and ask. Mimi
  25. PLEASE call your doctor before it gets any later. There is nothing any of us can do to help you!!!! Best wishes, Mimi
