  1. Well I had my first fill on 09/22/08 and they put in 4cc's. I was on liquids yesterday and am back at eating today but an hour after my meal I am hungry again. Should I go back in for another fill?
  2. Ill have to keep my eye out for the paper. We have the same surgeon
  3. well i am one week and 1 day postop and i am starting to get hungry too. I have tried most of the tricks others have mentioned but nothing has worked. I have now been able to tell the difference between really being hungry and just thinking im hungry cause im bored. I start my pureed foods on Tuesday and cant wait because at least its food. My doctor just tells me this is a healing process. So i guess i got to deal with it for now
  4. I had my surgery on 08/27/08 and am on my full liquid diet portion until Tuesday. I then start my pureed diet for 2 weeks. Can anyone give me any ideas of what else I can eat on my full liquid diet and some ideas for the pureed section. Thanks
  5. My surgery date is Aug 27 and I cant wait. I decided to have this surgery a few months ago. i think having this surgery will help me improve my life and help me become more active. So far it has not been easy getting ready for the surgery. I had to go on a liquid diet for 15 days before the surgery started. It was and is the hardest thing ever. I can't get food thoughts off my mind and I don't go around anyone because they are all able to eat. i just cant wait for Wednesday. I hope after the surgery my food thoughts will stop or just not be as frequent.
  6. Propel is on my list for the pre op diet. It is actually under the section where I can have as much as I want.
  7. Well I have a few days to go and Im getting nervous now. I just don’t know how im going to feel or what to expect. Everyone that I know that has been banded has taken it differently. I know everyone is different and the recovery will be different for everyone but I think I would be less nervous if I knew exactly what to expect. I hope these next couple days go by fast and the 27th hurries up and gets here cause Im starting to lose patience. Im still on my liquid diet and doing well. In the past couple days I have just been drinking water and eating yogurt. I can’t stand the taste of jello anymore and the cream soups are not doing it for me.
  8. I had my first preop visit today and so far I am down 20 pounds since my first visit a month ago. Im so excited I cant wait till after the surgery when I start to lose more. 7 more days to go
  9. I did that before I went on my 2 week liquid diet. I felt that I had to say good bye to all the foods I wont be able to eat again. Sad huh? Now all i can do is think about eating and get upset if someone has food around me. I have 7 more days on this liquid diet and have lost 15 pounds so far so Im doing good and dont plan on cheating.
  10. I am scheduled for my lapband surgery on 08/27. I am very excited about having the surgery. I do not know yet how much weight I want to lose I just know I need to lose weight. My friend just got banded and so far her experience has been good. She is not sore and was up and about the day after surgery. I have to be on a liquid diet 2 weeks before my surgery and it has been the hardest thing Ive ever done. Im not hungry but all I can think about it food. So far I have done really good and have not cheated.
